Provide more details please, what model/specs, what operating system I know its most likely windows but is it XP or vista or something older. is it a reoccurring problem where it stops responding or it just wont turn on at all or it lights up and doesn't do anything else, is it a single device thats not working, are there any error messages when the issue occurs or can you use the mouse and just one program is not working, try pressing caps-lock or num lock on the keyboard when it happens does the light on the keyboard change they should go on and off as you press the button, this usually means the pc is still functioning, just currently under a heavy workload for some reason, could be a virus do you have restore disks to try on it. the more details you provide about the problem, like what you are doing when you have the problem, when it started any changes before it started etc. could help determine the problem and the more details you give the people trying to help you the faster they can help you and the better they can help, Good luck.

New purchase?

If 'Internet Explorer is not responding' there can be many reasons why. It may be your internet connection is very busy and slow. It may be your computer is running slow. Do a Google search for 'broadband speed test' and see what speed you are getting. If it is less than 4 Mb/sec you have a slow connection. Try getting your present computer running at its best.
Delete all unnecessary software and old emails
Run a hard disk scan and de-fragment
Run a good anti-virus and spyware check
You can get 1000's of suggestions for the 'best machine'! But I guess on a new machine you want a proper keyboard, a reasonably sharp screen. PC Pro Magazine recommends ASUS Transformer Book T100 Windows 8.1 for 290 pounds, (400 dollars) as a Budget Buy and 5* rating.
If you want any more help with the details, please get back to me.

I can not start HP compaq dc 7100 CMT. starting four beep

Hello there, this means the machine has an internal hardware failure. 4 beeps almost always indicates the memory (RAM) has gone bad in the machine. If you are unsure of how to put new ram in the machine yourself you are going to need to contact a local service person to do this, it should not be too expensive. If you need help locating someone in your area please respond to this answer with your zip code and I will find someone for you.

Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do so. If you need more help on this question please just respond to my answer here and I will get right back to you.

Thanks
Tim

My computer will say ''not responding''.

That just means that the computer has been "thinking" for a little bit longer than it's used to. You could run disk defragmenter and disk cleanup for a cheap solution. If you have some money to spend, you could upgrade your whole machine. I suspect that the issue is a program you are running is a little too resource heavy for your machine.

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING THAT WAS RECOMMENDED TO ME....CMOS JUMPER RESET,Esc WHEN TURNING THE PC ON, F8 WHEN TURNING PC ON,etc...and STILL NOTHING IS RESPONDING...I'M JUST TRYING TO LOAD MY OS ON NEW HDD...

Go into BIOS settings and change the boot order to boot off CD first. Once that's done, insert your OS CD in the tray and reboot. Your machine should then load the OS right from the CD. Post back if you need directions on how to change BIOS settings. It's usually F2 when the machine boots up but can differ according to your machine.

Can't bootup my EMachines T3882

if you can't get into the bios, you can't start a repair, when it's booting, continually press F2 to get the bios up, if that does nothing reboot an continualy press Del, this is for the bios menu and set the cd drive as first boot device.

If not continually press F8 on boot up this is safe mode, then when youre in highlight last known good configuration and press Enter.

Give this a try as your pc will not be set to boot from cdrom as default and will just try to boot into windows.
