My Targus Wireless Optical Mouse is sporadically working. The batteries are fully charged. When I try to connect the mouse to the receiver, the receiver acts as if it is responding, however the cursor doesn't move.

Having the same problem. Mouse is connected with USB and was working fine; lights flash showing that the receiver is picking up the RF signal, but the pointer doesn't respond. Tried reconnecting several times, as well as rebooting the computer, but still no response.

I have a Targus PAWM10U, my computer doesn't detect the mouse, but the receiver and the mouse both turns on. I only got the mouse to work once, but that was after waiting 20 min and it all of a sudden worked for some reason. I'm thinking my receiver may be malfunctioning, because I bought it on amazon used. Any advices is greatly appreciated.

Targus PAWM10U that won't reengage following a battery replacement. My Toshiba only says hardware attached has malfunctioned and isn't recognized. This is obviously a recurring problem with this unit. Hasn't Targus offered a simple solution? I will call support on Monday unless someone else has the answer. Thanks. Cable Guy.

I had this happen to me after reprogramming my tv remote too close to my laptop and mouse. Try resetting the reciever and then the mouse by pushing the reset buttons on each one while they are plugged in ( reciever first, then the mouse ).

Are the wires broke in the reciever part, were it hinges and at the USB connection. Take the one screw out on the back and you will see if the wires are broke.

All,
I am seeing this driver installation in most of the solutions. But PAWM10U does not require a driver, as described in the manual. For manual please visit Targus website. Anyway, my mouse had been working, now started not working, though both receiver and mouse are talking each other.

Targus RF PAUM005 Mouse Not Working

do you have the CD that came with the hardware???
seems like the PC can't communicate with the hardware. although it see something out there, but it doesn't recognize what it is.
even the machine is says this device is working porperly, you still need to install the driver, and the configuration for the device. that's why the receiver doesn't flash.
try to install the drivers and the configuration application.

I've charged my Targus wireless mouse (PAKP003U) and plugged in the USB adapter thing, making sure the light is on. The mouse is on also, but it is still not working.

Your windows computer must install the drivers for the wireless adapter for your mouse when you plugged it in. Given that the light is on the adapter I'm assuming it works.

There should be a small button on the mouse and the adapter somewhere. Press the button with a paperclip or something small enough to get to it and the light should start flashing. Now press the button on the mouse. Both lights should be on solid.

This connects both the adapter and mouse on the same wireless channel to work together.

Good Luck!

Targus wireless notebook mouse

See for Windows, the answer is yes. This is because when Windows detects that the mouse is not connected, it may freeze. Also may not boot up all the way from restart either. You can always get a multi port USB hub if you need more USB ports.
