Realtek ALC audio driver not showing headphones

I was previously using windows XP SP3, and the Realtek audio driver i had, i remember i had the option to select that my main port (green) has a headphone pair plugged in. This increased the volume of the headphones (while as speakers the volume was lower).

I have just upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and my old driver was not compatible, so i went to the Intel site and found the latest one: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19018&ProdId=2839&lang=eng

I downloaded that, and installed it, but it seemingly has very lesser options. Including no option to select headphones. How can i fix this? Is what i downloaded "just the driver" and i need to download something else too to get everything i need?

You might need the right RealTek driver for it. That will also install the RealTek control panel, which has all these extra settings for speaker selection, etc.

First download Realtek* ALC Audio Driver .

How to Install
1. Download this file to a folder on your PC.
2. Double-click the filename to launch the installation
IMPORTANT: Audio drivers may fail to install in Windows* XP 64-Bit Edition. Symptoms may include error messages, such as "Error in installation" or "Unknown error". Microsoft's Update for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB901105) fixes this issue. After installing this update, the audio drivers for Windows XP 64-Bit Edition will successfully install.
