Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone
My BB 8310 will not switch on. I have tried removing the battery for 5 minutes and then replacing it but all i get is a red flashing LED on the front panel.
What could the problem be?
Well, I solved it for myself anyway after spending over 2 hours on the phone with AT&T & RIM and getting told there was nothing I could do and I needed to buy a new phone after less than one year of owning this one!
So, I decided to give it one more try and see if I can load anything despite the screen being blank, the LED light flashing red and none of the keys working. (I just refuse to throw in the towel for good when my instinct is to try one last time!)
So I did some more research & found this site. I followed the directions exactly and LOW & BEHOLD MY DEAD PHONE CAME BACK TO LIFE! Every feature works just like it did prior to uploading the new OS! I even have a video camera now whereas I didn't before upgrading the OS!
Fortunately, I saved a backup copy of my 4.2 OS and was able to pull my contacts out of it for the new OS. I did have to completely start over as far as my settings but big deal! At least I don't have to buy a new one!
Ironically, AT&T text messaged me today (imagine that, even though they told me the phone was dead, they sent me a text!) asking me to take a survey on their customer service... That was probably the ONLY survey I've ever enjoyed taking and I certainly didn't stop short of letting AT&T know their customer service sucks and the people who work there are trained rip-offf artists.

Just remove the battery from BB and insert it after atleast 30 mins. It worked for me.

My phone will not come on i tried to put a new battery charge it and everything what can i do

Is it definately fully charged? If not it could be a software or hardware issue, try connecting it your PC not using the cradle, just the mini usb lead and see if it boots up. If not you may want to try and reinstall the os though desktop manager
