I have a jane slalom pro my front wheel is driving me mad it is wobbling so much that my pram will not move forward sometimes, any help would be appreciated.

We have this problem with our powertwin when my toddler is not riding in the front and I only have the baby in the carseat at the back. There is not enough weight at the front to keep the front wheel firm on the ground. I solve the problem by switching the front wheel from swivel mode into locked mode whenever I only have the baby in the pushchair. But I switch it back as soon as my toddler gets in the front since its impossible to navigate with a fixed front wheel when the pushchair is fully loaded.

Locking component of front wheel powertwin pro lost

Hi,

If you visit this link:

http://www.johnstonprams.co.uk/contact.htm

You will be able to order the part. Just ensure that where the old part was attached, that any of the prong ends are removed (you may need tweezers) before you place the new part in.

I hope this helps.

On jane powertwin the front wheel shakes when locked into position

Hi,

If the front wheel is shaking, I would suggest this:

Lift the pram so that the handlebar is on the floor and the front wheel is in the air, this way you can see directly underneath the mono-fork (the fork which is attached to the front wheel). At the bottom of the mono-fork there is a very small screw (or hole if it has come out) this can be tightened with a very small allen key. If you have a hole there, then the screw can be purchased from www.johnstonprams.co.uk
However, this only applies to Pro versions of the Powertwin, If yours is a non-pro, then again, I would suggest that you contact Johnston Prams to get them to give you a guide to adjusting the brakes on the front wheel which should stop the wobble fine.
(N.B. If your model is a Pro, it will say on the chassis 'Pro-Fix' or similar)
I hope this helps.

Jane Powertwin Pro Buggy Problems

To lock the front wheel there is a small black button that can be twisted. It is very stiff on my buggy but if you fiddle with it while the wheel is straight it will lock it.
