Yes actually my jukebox possibly is a 1946 and holds 24 vinyls. The arm is in position. vinyl lifts up turns, arm sits on correct position sound is heard but stops. elevator comes back vinyl returns to position and system stops. It stops like it would after finishing a normal play cycle. So I do not think it is the cartridge. the whole thing stops within few seconds. can you help

Wow. a jukebox.

ok, the record rises and plays BUT it doesnt finish the song and the arm rests but doesnt go back to its place thus making the system idle...

am i right?

ok, seems like the needle is the one at fault...

to replace the needle only means that you have to replace the whole cartridge as well It's a simple pull-out / push-in fit.

here is a link for the needles. link

here is for the cartridge link

as the way you described it, apparent solution would be to chagne the cartridge.

thanks for using fixya.

ok, so may i ask how old is the cartrige for your jukebox? i recommend that you replace the cartridge even if you think that the cartridge is not at fault.

lets assume that the cartridge indeed is not at fault,

here is a pdf manual link see in 18.7....this is the answer to your question.

    thanks for using fixya

    records not played completely ...

tone arm lifts up to early ...

solution = re- adjust the tone arm trip switch k3. remove adjusting screw to have play time extended.

    thanks for using fixya.

It is the arm sensor for the end of the disk.

It is a mechnaic sensor. You to take apart the Wurlitzer nad check the arm mechanics. there should be a sensor to detect when the head get to the end of the disk. This is probably stuck , os some mechanic may have broken. You need to check it out.

Oops, I posted the solution for older vinyle Wurlitzer.
On the new cd oner, the solution is usually much simpler.
First disconnect your Wurl from power cable, and plug it back, to reset the machine, just in case it is a matter of settings.
If you still have the problem on startup, it is likely that you have a lens problem.
When you get a dirty lens the cd stops before playing the whole songs.
Try first putting a cleaner cd into the juke box and using cleaner solution. If this is not enough you will need to take apart the Wurlitzer, so to access to laser lens and clean the lens manually using cotton, cleaning solution, and isopropil alcohol. Ensure the Wurlitzer is disconnected from power if you have to service it inside.

Well, manual says: locate the arm switch, and unscrew the adjusting screw. I did not find k3 on diagrams, on older model was a mechanic located at the base of the arm.

I have the older model 1015and do not have the adusting screw. The only thing that I see is a felt washer at the base of the arm.My problem is it does not drop at the begining of the record.I tried to loosen the screw under the washer and push up against the washer and now the arm goes in anywere from 1/4" to a 1/2 " from the startof th record. Please help Joe

I have a Wurlitzer one more time. vinyl record jukebox.. I moved ( or turned) the turn arm forward to clean behind it and now the records will start to play and return to the changer. How do I adjust it.

Look up underneath the mechanism. You've moved the tone arm with respect to the bracket beneath it (which closes the trip switch). Select a record...turn the machine off...then look up under whilst someone moves the tone arm and you will see what it is attched to. If you are lucky you can hold that tight and gently move the arm back the other way a bit.

45 (record) Jukebox. While playing the jukebox was changing records, the arm lifted the record slightly off the turntable. the credits and song selection would not clear off the readout, even after...

Hello,

Have you checked all the fuses or circuit breakers on the jukebox?
Are all the power supply led's lit?
Make sure that all the connection plugs into the boards are fully seated and making good connections.

After checking the above if the fault remains you will need to contact a Wurlitzer service engineer.

Wurlitzer 3600 series wont select a record ?

If the buttons don't latch in, the machine is not in credit. Put on free play or put some money in.

Wurlitzer 1800 jukebox, plays record but at end the arm does not lift so record does not reject until I press the reset button and then it works.

If the normal cancel button is working then take a look at the tone arm trip switch, which probably just needs adjusting. You can test this by flicking it with your finger when a record is playing. If it works it just needs adjusting to trip at the right place on the record.
The trip switch is located behind the fat end of the cobra tone arm on the back side of the arch, so you get to it by taking the machine back door off.

Wurlitzer 2500 jukebox

You don't give enough information. Is it in the play position? Is it putting the tone arm down on the record?

Record won't retract

If it isn't making any move to retract the tray it's probably the trip switch. If you look in the back and follow the mechanics under the tone arm you'll see how it closes a switch as the arm goes to the centre of the record. Clean the switch or adjust it.

If it is half returning the tray it is the tray stack all gummed up. Use Servisol Silicon spray or have it rebuilt by someone who knows how.
