Nnot removing steam from drum???? you open your dryer and you see moisture???, if this is a stand alone dedicated dryer ( not a combonatin waher/dryer in one tub), you have a severly clogged/ blocked vent.. you will need to revent or clean the venting as soon as possible

Maytag dryer MD-24 error symbol?

The dryer completes the cycle you have set. If you do not remove the contents at the end of the cycle, the dryer performs the start-stop routine you describe until you get around to removing the contents. Eventually even the start-stop routine ends and the contents just lie in a heap until removed

We have a Maytag model DE882, we have been using this dryer for last 20 years but last week it stopped tumbling in the middle of the dryer cycle.

Hi there. There are a few things that could be wrong with it, but the most common problem is a broken drive belt. You can remove the front panel and look to see if the belt is still around the drum and the motor and idler pulleys. If it has broken or come off, you will need to remove the front drum gable and put a new belt on the drum. Pay particular attention to the way it is looped around the idle pulley.

Clothes dryer

washer dryer and dryer ony machines differ in a huge way. the big diff. is the drums on each are completly different sizes. the conventional dryer has the bigger, giving better air flow and tumble to clothes. the w/d has a smaller drum thus less air flow and less tumble between clothes. the best way to see this effect is remove half the clothes after a wash and then select a drying cycle. u will see that by giving the clothes more room to tumble free of each other rather than tumbling in a large ball will dry them. washer dryers are really only a marketing tool.
