Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-36FS120 36" TV
Hi it is me again. My model number is KV-32HS500. Also i have counted the number of blinks in a row from that standby light and it is 7 blinks. Please tell me what is wrong and how to fix it.
THe 7 blinks indicate a problem in the high voltage section. The most common failure part is the horizontal output transistor. This is a 3-legged part attached to a heatsink close by the flyback transformer (part with large red wire coming out the top). Try replacing this part first. That may resolve the problem. The part should be marked something like C5438. This wouldmean that the actual part number is 2SC5438. Please note that this number is only an example. Let me know if that does not resolve the problem.
