Question about HP DeskJet F380 All-In-One Printer

Can't reinstall I uninstalled my HP DeskJet F380 unintentionally. Trying to reinstall with and without disk. Without disk , it is not on the list of choices. Is there a " compatible printer software?" With disk, I get to the point where this is the "required action": THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO INSTALL THIS PRODUCT....CONTACT YOU SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR..OR HAVE THE PRIMARY USER INSTALL THE SOFTWARE." ( which makes no sense sinc I have had it install for over a year.) Who is my systems administrator? I AM the primary user! I went to the HPweb sit and downloaded their "lastest software driver" for this printer, wrote down where they said I could find it. When trying to install, again without the disk, they do not give me the option of going to where they told me this lastest softwrae dirver would be stored? I am basically computer illerate so if someone could walk me through the solution?

Dear jojobeany
it seems to me that your pc is infected with viruses.if you have anti-viruse install then update it.then disable the system restore.boot in safe mode and scan the computer.then boot in normally and uninstall the printer and again you install the drivers.
hope it will work now.

no its not possible to install a printer without its driver its like running a car without driver or auto driver .............. anyway you can download a copy of driver for your HP deskjet F380 printer from here

I don't have an installation disk for my HP Deskjet F380 and It doesn't seem to work without, how do I use it?

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,findthefile,doubleclickon the file, then if you get introubles,follow theinstructionsbelow toreset and reinstall drivers:

  • Unplug printer USB.
  • Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
  • Download driver from website and run the file.
  • Follow driver installation wizard.
  • Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.
Note:someprinter does not work on Vista, if you do not find any driver downloadfor Vista on your model page, that means your model is not Vistacompatible.

Hp deskjet f380 all in one

You cannot install the printer without its Cd. What you need to do is to go to and go to the drivers page and download the software for the printer. Thats when it will allow to install.
