Verify 240vac at dryer. If the element is not broken and the power is present then you will ave to trace out the circuit. Check the termostats and the timer contacts, remember you are working around 240 volts and if you do not have the training and skills it would be better left to a technician.

Dsxh47eg0ww

I would replace parts. It still is cheaper than a new unit. So get the new control panel and do it yourself and save money. The average life of a dyer is dependant only on when the owner gives up. I just serviced on last week that was 25 years old.

Will not dry no heat ge model dde9500ramad

Well it is not the fuse because it still runs just no heat. I would first try to reset the breaker and make sure 240 volts is getting to the dryer. Dryer motors work on 120 volts. The heater needs 240 to opperate. Sometimes the breaker will trip on the high load heat side or simply wear out. If that is good then you must check the element, To do so you need to remove the drum. You start by raising the top then getting the front off; then you take the belt idler loose and yank out the drum. The heater element is on the back wall of the dryer.

GE dryer will run but no heat

this issue is almost always a breaker tripped, or restricted air flow. Verify air flow by removing hose at back of unit, and form opinion of air flow; hook back up and see if you have the same air flow outside the building. Any restriction will trip thermal limiters (auto resetting).

Breaker needs to be turned FULLY off and back on, then test for heat.

MY OLD GE ELECTRIC DRYER TURNS ON BUT WILL NOT HEAT

Hi,

Make sure you check these to fix the problem.
  • Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

  • Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

  • A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

Thank you

No heat in dryer

Make sure all the wires were replaced correctly and check the circuit breaker two control an electric dryer one for go one for heat. if all the wires were not replaced correctly you may have tripped one or it may have caused the prolem without tripping one . I'd start with the wires.
