Question about RCA 27R410T 27" TV

1 Answer

TV has Sound but no picture

This is so odd! I was watching TV and turned the channel and didn't have a picture. You can hear any channel that you turn it on and you can see the menu from the Sat system we have. I just turned it to the music channels and you can also see the artist info on the screen. I checked the connections and nothing seems to be loose?? Any suggestions?

TV won't "talk" with satellite cable

Try to see if you have 5volts for your EEPROM. If the voltage is normal try to replace your EEPROM or try to reprogram it. Your EEPROM is corrupted so that's why it will not store data.

Black screen but have sound

If it is not a hardware problem, it is most likely the Closed Captioning system.
If you can still see the on-screen menu, go into your TV's menus and disable Closed Captioning.

Tv/remote input problems

Try plugging your cable box in using a/v cables (red, white, yellow) and see if you have a picture on a different input from the box. If so, go into your general settings in the box and change the output channel to 4 instead of 3. Then try your TV on 4 and see if your picture comes in. I have seen TV tuners go out on just one channel before.

No Signal through on my main TV input.

This may be the tuner or IF module that is failing. It may also be a voltage supply fault to these modules. It is impossible to accurately speculate without actualy troubleshooting the set.
