Question about Televison & Video
Resetting to Austria, for no reason at all, is a known issue. The machines _cannot_ be reset by the user. Samsung DVD models affeceted need to be taken to their Mitcham depot for a software upgrade (either the customer does that, or an engineer can call at your home to take it away and bring it back at a later date). It needs factory remote reset. This sound wierd but it will fix it and you need to be handy with a soldering iron. Open up you remote control and solder 2 wires onto pins 15 and 21 of the micro. Re assemble your remote and leave these two wires poking out. Point remote and set and touch the wires. It will say test. Type in 01 and drawer will open. It should now be back in uk mode.

Incorrect board fitted at factory.
Unit requires exchange by Samsung or Service Agent to fit new board associated with problem / Country.
Hacks will not work, we have tried as have unit stuck on France for uk.
