Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Point 6 update the firmware - some routers won't operate on windows 8 until you log into the router and upgrade it.
Also you may want to select an actual channel number rather than set to auto as you can increase channel number by 3 to avoid interference from neighbours.

I have a wifi toggle fitted. What would happen if I took it out 4 any reason?

Hi Robert Middlemiss,

Dell Latitude systems usually have a WIFI button so even if you remove the Wi-Fi toggle the computer needs to connect to Internet without any issues. However, please explain more about the same so that I can help you more.

Thanks and Regards.

Re:-DS Lite.WiFi set-up. Asked for a Access Point. Came up. '' This access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS.'' ? It was accepted on my Wii?

Hi,

The DS lite only supports WEP which would have a HEX key password, if you have a pass key or pass phrase then chances are you are using WPA or WPA2 which is not supported on the DS lite.

The WEP key is an older form of security and has been found to have some weaknesses but to be honest its still secure enough for a home wifi set-up.

Here is a link to an article explaining more about the differences between the two.

You can change your settings on the wireless router, but you will then have to adjust the settings on your Wii accordingly.

If you need any further help or advice please feel free to contact me via my profile page.

My wifi only works in ONE place wher it works

Sorry 'bout the stessed-out part.
In one place in your house?
In one place like Starbucks, but not at Library?

Just explain a wee bit more..

If it only works one place in your house, then there is inerference between thw WiFi router and the laptop:
A refrigerator, file cabinet, too many walls in between.
Move the router higher, or change the orientation (point to a different direction)

If it only works at home, but not at Starbucks, or whatever:

Ask the management if you need a (WEP) code.
If not, then you must set it up (not too difficult).

please, more info..

Wifi connecting

first off you need to either have a wifi connection in you house or by the wifi usb connector and cd rom from nintendo ( about 20 or less if you find it used) I would recommend buying the connector because it is easier to use.
