Cant get tv to turn on

The tv was running properly all day. When I went to turn it back on, nothing. The unit is showing that there is power getting to it...red light on. Tried resetting the remote, disconnecting power source (adapter), which shows a green light, turning it on from the control panel, and nothing...even tried unpluging unit and waiting 2 mins still nothing. light stays red...What could the problem be ?

how old is this tv? and how much do you use it?

You could possibly have a large amount of static electricity in the room with the tv which may have built up enough to affect the tv. Try running a vaporizer in the room on low for a few hours and maybe that will work. I will further be able to help you if you post answers to my previous questions.

you should check the fuses on the board and see if any of them have blown, be careful though when opening it and don't touch the capacitors

the fuses are located on the board in the back, the capacitors will look like a round cylinder and should be on the board too. You will need to remove the back panel first, make sure you unplug the tv first

Hi,

Try leaving it out of the power overnight. Also, check all the cable connections.

Outside unit will only run for a short amount of time with A/C before the fan stops turning and starts humming, squealing/screeching and the top of the outside unit gets hot.

The bearings are bad in the motor and after the fan runs enough it eventually gets hot, making the bearing screech and the fan locks up. Need to replace motor again. See if it has a warranty. The reason it gets hot is because the fan is what removes the heat from the coil and if the fan isn't running there is nothing to cool it off so to speak.

I put a new bulb in the tv about 3 months ago. I was watching the tv the other day and turned it off when done. I went to turn it back on the other day and it does nothing, no red, green, yellow blinking...

Try pushing in the reset button on the front panel, its very small and you will need a pin to push it in. Do this while the TV is plugged in, then power it on again see what it does. If still nothing then the FMT board is developing a known fault. You will need to replace the FMT board if reset doesn't work....
Also..
It could be a fan issue, if one of the fans in the TV stop working this will cause the TV not to power up too.
Let me know what you find...

If you are using these DVRs over the air only, with 1.2.06 installed you have to run the G* Test in the 9012 menu, to get the digital data going, after removing power. That is why your clocks are --:--. I highly recommend that you update the firmware in both of these units to 1.2.21, to avoid having to mess with the G* Test.

You need to find out if the power supply is putting out 24vdc for the backlight inverter board, it can be that the inverter board has short circuits which will cause the 24vdc to go into shutdown to protect itself, you can disconnect the power cables to the inverter board to see if you will get the 24vdc back.

Problem, please help

The unit should be under warranty. What you're describing is not normal and I would attempt to get a replacement from the place of purchase or take the unit to an authorized repair center. Below is the Philips support page for your unit. You can check warranty status as well as request repair.
