Blue tint on screen!!! Please help

I have had my projector for about 2 years. My current light bulb has 900 hours on it and suddenly there is a huge blue tint all over the screen. It seems to change shapes and seems to get worse as the projector gets hotter.

Same problem here! Cleaned out the entire unit and then the tint spots moved around! What causes this? It's annoying.

Same here, screen has a blue hue to it, even with the blue color turned all the way down.

For our projector it was a case of the cord, I replaced it and everything worked fine. The cords seem to break quite often.

Hi Bear,

This is likely an issue with the polarizing plates, which need to be calibrated or replaced. This is not something that can be done by the average user. If your problem persists, please send us a message: Projector Repair Bulb Replacement

Greenish dark, with multible lines across top to bottom of the screen.

That looks like retrace lines. Anyway, you should try to adjust screen pot not focus pot. Make sure you are turning blue screen pot (there are 3 focus pots and 3 screen pots) and do it slowly. If you turn it too much, it will affect your grayscale

What is wrong with my tlp s10 it gives the entire picture a blue tint the lamp has done 2700 do I need a new bulb

Check the Video cable that feeds the projector, could be a broken cable or a pin bent -worst case the connector on the projector has broken.
Try the VGA cable on your computer screen.
The lamp does not need replaceing, the lamp emmits white light only.

Blue-ish tint suddenly ?

the solution is as its follows: :)enter in

Factory Menu
1. How to enter factory menu:
2. Hold press "UP" button until the "Lamp hours info." OSD display on bottom-right of screen.
Press keypad <Power> and <Blank> key simultaneously again, then enter Factory menu.
enter in fan menu and increse the speed of fans.
paul@ula.ve -> had to use the already written text...:P

3. with the keypad look for the menu that says <more options> on the bottom of the osd. once you are there go for the option HARD RESET.

4: also look for the option where its says SOFT RESET. its on other tab ... shut down the projector. take the power cord off the 6100. wait for about 10 seconds. plug it again and there you go...it works again.!!

PROJECTOR POWERS DOWN

This would appear to be a bulb that has reached end of life -- or the projector thinks that it is because of hours. Usually most bulbs are 1000 or 2000 hours. Depending on your projector there are different ways of checking bulb life hours -- if you Google your projector model number and "bulb life" you will usually get a post on how to check these hours. Also, if it is a new bulb and you haven't reset the hours counter, it may need to be reset (however you also don't want to wait too long before changing a bulb that has reached EOL since they can and do explode sometimes taking out the projector with it).

Blueish tint on picture

no... lcp panels will look different when going bad ! this is the polarization filter, most of the time the one BEFORE the lcd panel (blue in this case). these should be cheap but are not easy to get...so you might pay quite a lot. you can also buy polarization filter sheets and cut them to size. keep in mind to check for the right orientation !
