The drive you have is a IDE, Ultra DMA 133, 4200 RPM.

If you are running XP or Vista you can purchase any brand hard drive. Recommend Maxtor. Just make sure it is IDE and for a desktop.

Hope this helps.

Sorry. Post said desktop. You need a IDE hard drive for a laptop. Most computer retailers will sell them (BestBuy, Circuit City, etc)

No unfortunately it is not supported in your system.

You can maximize your system hard drive up to 40 GB.

Thanks.
Have a great day

My pc tells me that I'm running out of hard drive

You can use either.

You can also use external portable hard disk, you can move all your software and stuff to it.

Better would be installing a new operating system to new hard **** with larger capacity, it will make your system fast.

You can also fit hard disk in your computer PC cabinet, you will just need to set it as "Slave" or secondary hard disk, to do this, setting is available on the hard disk.

I have a PC Dell Dimension 2400 with a hard 40 GB

Basically when you install a new boot drive you need to install Windows operating system on the new hard drive, also the device drivers (eg video, audio, modem, LAN etc), your programs and data. The reason programs has to be installed is because the installation process copied DLL files to the System folders and makes changes to the registry.
You can only copy your data onto the new hard disk.
To avoid copying your data to the new hard drive, you can set up the old hard drive as second hard drive (ie. slave drive), if you delete the redundant folders and leave only the data folders then you have an adddition 40Gb of disk space.

How to install new hard drive

2 choices for you. Get the external to run the game or 2. Add a larger hdd to the system as a slave drive leaving the smaller drive as the master. If you go the 2nd route just make sure you buy a compatible hdd. Hope this helps & please remember to rate my answer.
