I had this same issue! What I did to correct mine was this:
The camera lens is on something like a teeter totter. It has just come dislodged. With a lot of force (more than you would think it could take) place your phone on a table and put your thumb on the area that the flash/lens is, (mine was in the left corner) and press hard until you hear a snap or click. It took me several attempts because I was afraid of breaking my phone. But after I realized it was broke anyway, I pushed REAL hard and it worked! Good luck!
Hi, sorry for late answer. I think it is a common problem on flip or slide mobile phones. I had the same problem and i fixed it by
replacing the ribbon flex cable. They are very cheap on ebay (i got one
for $2.35 with free P&P)... Here it is a video that may help you. Hope it'll works on you too...
Remove your memory card and put back in. If your camera is on it will ask you if you want to switch to card in a few seconds. The i580 has issues with keeping the memory card connection active for some reason and "forgets" its plugged in.
You have formatted your card WITH your phone, right?
I had the same problem. Come to find out, SIM cards are different. Nextel/Sprint got smart and scaled down SIM cards for the less expensive models (ie the i335). Therefore, the SIM cards that come in the scaled down phones do not have a "media center" on the SIM....you need an older SIM (they are yellow on the bottom) or a SIM that was designed to go in the i880. I have a SIM out of a old i265 that works....I tried a SIM out of an i730 and it didn't work either. Hope that helps and good luck. When you get the right SIM, the stupid "refreshing media" will be ancient history. :)
This is an error with the camera. You will need to have this repaired at a local service center. This is covered completely by Sprint Nextel's ESRP (Equipment Service & Repair Program) and TEP (Total Equipment Protection), and can be done at any Sprint Nextel Service & Repair Location. If you do not subscribe to ESRP or TEP, the charge for the repair will be no more than $55.
