just scan it using the command from the computer ..after that you will find the job into the manager folder..of the scanner..from there you can send it directly ..or edit a little ..and copy into computer and attach to the email..or ..use the feature from the scanner's program to send it .. make sure you set to scan picture cause scanners have a wizard that you can set to scan image (picture Jpeg ....) or PDF ..document ..
The scanner will not scan to a Mac but Mac will have to scan a document on this scanner and save it wherever it wants. So open your Mac word processor and from it access the scanner and scan a document.
There is the possibility that the scanner assembly has jumped a tooth on the drive belt on one side so the scanner is just slightly crooked. To correct this the scanner assembly would have to be taken apart enough to correctly line the assembly back up. I wouldn't recommend that you try this yourself unless you have some experience at this sort of thing. Contact Brother for an authorized repair center near you for assistance.
Most software has a preview button first click this.
Then you can see a dotted line rectangle around the area to be scanned.
You can move this rectangle by dragging the edges using the mouse, (hold click and drag)
Then click the scan button
Although I am not that familiar with the Mac systems....
Open your Imaging program, Paint program or whatever program you have
to view/edit pictures and photo's. If the proper system files are
installed you should have an option to 'Aquire' or 'Import' from the
scanner. Your Document reader/writer programs may also have options for
aquiring from the scanner also.
