Can you recommend me some good books for self-improvement ?

Bring out the best in you by DOING. Reading a book just postpones the DOING. Unless you are the author of the book, then you earn money by not doing, but by telling others what they should do. Self-help books are only helpful, if you DO!

How do I take the cam sproket off a 2002 suzuki xl7? And what is the screw that id embedded infront of the head near the alt belt? Suzuki not cool.

correct suzuki does suk and is now officially in usa BUGGED OUT.
like, ISUZU< YUGO, DAEWOO< etc.
no job stated, what are you doing? polishing cam lobes? what?
bad water pump
bad chain and friends, ? guides, etc.
bad head?
bad sprocket due some one ignoring bad chain?
what? what is the job, or what is the damage, help the helper
know why you are here, is like 100 points to a good answer
no?

first off never work in this complex engine lacking the FSM book.
the real book (factory) is only 4 bucks to read, is that not worth causing damage"?????? see last link on this page.
I post this so all H2x engines, can be serviced, in this area.
which cam? sprocket, (left or right bank)??????????
Ok first off what engine is there, no photos posted, so are we to guess that,? or state this.
My guess is you cant get the bolt off, on the end if a cam.
RIGHT?>
we have posted chain swaps on many suzuki engines here.
J20s, H25,h27, etc.... this car sold in usa has the V6 mostly
H25 and H27 and are near same.
the cam shafts must be locked on all DOHC./SOHC engines first.
so the Sprocket wheel can be removed. (or it just spins.)
newtons laws and all that on relative motions...
chain drive, V6 engine. it is, H20 and up world wide, class engines.
there are 2 ways to do this, (3 with hacks)
1: buy the cam locker tool use that.
2:some suzuki have a hole in the cam, that you slide a dowel rod in and it lock.s
3: hack we, find something behind said sprocket say a freeze plug
and put a pry bar there and then off the nut. sprocket.
i can only presume front cover off, and valve covers off.
so that puts you where. it the pages, of sprocket swaps.
you then ask a 2nd question, about some screw then fail to post a photo of it, the is only a 3 bolt clamp on the alternator mount there. so..../?? , I cant guess, what you see or touch, lacking PHOTOS.
btw, I own the book but sold the car, so.... know it well.
the engine is half Mazda/Suzuki, a joint design. (history)
here are the many chain service web page links I keep. tract of.
http://bbs.zuwharrie.com/content?topic=45886.0

the book link, here here from SUZUKI's SITE its real this is not junk clone book its 4 bucks to read,

JUST $4 bucks to read ALL DAY. posted now 100s of times.
search much,
even use google " Cam chain H27 engine."

https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/10182-2007-xl7-service-manual.aspx

last but best in the book in the chapter on cam shaft swap.
step 7. if you had looked at the cam, you;d have seen
the cast in lockup device, (not a hole like seen on SOHC)
but a BOSS for a spanner. best is always look first.
I'd bet it works on SUZUKI H2x engines V6. on both banks.
idle sprockets are another matter as is crank sprocket.

How to install crankshaft position senser 2005 Suzuki forenza

the 2.0 liter in USA? twin cam 2 liter.? post what it is and win.....
there are over 5 engines used world wide.
we have answered this like 10 times here... ever search first?

the CKP sensor.
is covered in the FSM book as is the diagnostic table.
why no scan the PCM first to see if its bad, it reports it !!!
the book is 4 bucks, why not just read the official book.?
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1064-2005-forenza-reno-service-manual.aspx

it can only be in 3 places... on all engines. if fitted.
front of crank near pulley.
mid crank
or near or at flywheel , even behind it impossible to get to.

so, ill post the photo again.
crank sensor (names to get hits, for next search)
The CKP sensor
crank position sensor. (CPS is old name)
crank timing sensor.
The crank sensor...
usa car, 2.0L only
there are 7 steps... to get it out.
im not posting them, all.
but, if you read the FSM book above, it tells you the A/C compressor must be removed. and it's UNDER THERE.
why not post symptoms and not guess this part is bad.
ever think to do that? did you scan the PCM first?

usa answers for 2.0L twin cam head.
is the cam belt on the cam fresh and new or 100k miles old.?
never ignore the belt. or bad happens.

I need to find the Cam Sensor location on a 2007 VW Beetle

To replace the camshaft position sensor, you must remove the toothed cam belt (loosen the tension and pull the belt off of the cam sprocket) and the cam sprocket. The sensor is located behind the sprocket - it is easily replaced. Although this may seem daunting, the hard part is relocating the cam sprocket correctly to the camshaft. You see, there is no key or fixed marks to get it back on correctly. I do recommend that you get a repair book to try the yourself. The VW book is somewhat difficult to use and I have never looked at the Haynes manuals

you need the real driver, dowload it from acer webpage. the only reason for the cam not working is needing the driver or the cams broke.

I am replacing the timing belt on a 93 volvo 940 with 4 cly single overhesd cam no tubo. Where does the cam's timing mark line up? I don not have a repair manual for this.

I replaced mine on the same car.  I borrowed the NAPA timing belt book to get the timing marks.  There are three that need to be aligned.  I would suggest going to NAPA to buy the belt ($25) and while there, ask to see that book so you can write down the timing marks.  The mark on the crank shaft gear is on the inside of the gear, while the cam gear is on the outside of the gear.  Or, you could just buy the book.  It's still a lot cheaper than paying someone to replace the belt.
