I dropped my camera and now the lens wont close. Everytime I turn it on it says "lens error 111,0,0,28. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Most probably the lens problem, it got stuck or it's damaged. Try to gently pull out the lens to see is it only got stuck or take it to service

Lens Stuck

YOU CANNOT REPAIR THIS SOPHISTICATED CAMERA YOURSELF!!
I guess pushing the lens inside may have made the problem worse.
I follow a rule- if you drop an electronic equipment and a problem occurs- it usually takes a professional repair!
For all you kamow there is a minor problem in the camera, like something stuck inside or something like that. and most certainly you will aggravate the problem by trying to do it yourself..

do post when you get it repaired, for all of us to know what goes wrong when lens gets stuck..
take care

Lens Stuck

Same problem guys!!! LENS HAD GOT STUCK - ABOUT ONE THIRD OUT after a knock. After lots of playing, and tapping and batteries in and out tried the whole twisting and pulling thing whilst turning off and on.

After a few minutes it came free and whole lens popped out. I then had to twist the outer part of the lens to straighten that up and allow it to fully retract. Works a treat now!

PS Tried the Sony online chat support - useless!!!!

Casio lens stuck

I noticed that the lens was sticking out on center. After pushing it a little, it clicked and then everything worked fine again. I hope that's what happens for your camera, too.
