Well...I found a simple solution for this problem, I went thru customer service, tried everything I found on the internet, and guess what?! I threw my phone down the stairs at home (I have carpet) and when it hit the wall I picked it up and the freaking icon was gone and my phone working perfectly fine, so, you may wanna try this "technique" too....

Turn the phone off. Wait a few minutes and turn it back on again.

I had the same problem. I turned it off, waited about 5 minutes, then turned it back on. No more headphone icon and I can hear through the phone perfectly!
