While inserting my external usb keyboard into the jack, it appeared to get stuck and became hard to insert into the usb port. I noticed yesterday that it caused a short in the speakers. I can insert a usb device and the sound intermittently comes in and out (like a short) The part number of the laptop is PR125UA made by HP. Any advice about how I can disassemble it to repair the short?
Here is how you should disassemble your laptop

i dont see how a usb port can actually be related to your sound but maybe the best solution right now is to simply replace your usb port as it might have been damaged by your external usb keyboard
