If your tv has a headphone jack and your truck has a cassette player, they make an adapter in the shape of a cassette with a wire running out of it and a small jack that will hook into the tv and you should get sound out of your truck stereo. if no cassette player, then they also make an fm transmitter that will hook into the tv and then you tune your fm radio to the frequncy required. radio shack or some place like it usually carries things like this.

My headset echos n makes loud noise i bought new so can you replace for free

If your headset is plugged in to your computer and at the same time you have an external signal source (eg cd player or mp3 player) plugged in to the rear sound input it is possible to create a "loop" so that the sound keeps amplifing each time it goes through the loop it will sound like an echo rising in volume. try unplugging the input. another reason could be if you are using external speakers and a microphone. in this case you would need to diconnect the external speakers and use headphones only.
hope that helps

Skype not working

Sir,

Click this link for more information........

http://support.skype.com/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=35

Also Check........

On a PC with external speakers and also a headset with microphone. Windows XP is configured so that standard audio are external speakers and standard microphone is the headset. Skype is configured to use the headset for audio in and out.

This way one can listen to sound from the PC and from MP3 players through external speakers and if there is a call to make or take, this is going through the headset.

But now there is the problem that the noise level for the headset is too low. Increasing volume has no effect on the headset, it only affects the external speaker's volume.

Now the solution: Going to the control panel and opening the sound setting, go to the audio tab. The external speakers are selected as default. Just temporarily select the headset and then click on volume just below. You can now set the volume for the headset, click OK and click cancel (!!!) on the sound control dialog box. This way the external speakers remain as default output.

Skype-->Tools -> Options -->Sound Devices-->audio device/USB/etc Audio Device (do NOT use windows default device)
You can also tick the ring pc speaker check box as this is a good backup to alert you even
if the main speakers are off or turned down.

Windows:
Start-->Control panel-->Sound and Audio devices
On the audio tab set the default playback device to your main soundcard(AC97/Audio-chip/add-on-adapter), etc.
Your installed audio device must be present there.
If not, reinstall audio device

thanks
good luck

Why am I getting a alternate he whining when RCA plug is plugged in speaker RCA jack is plugged in

Good wiring practices and noise reduction accessories can help cut back on alternator whine and ignition popping sounds thru auto audio systems.

Typically, amplifiers and other high current devices work best when power leads are direct connected to the vehicle battery. The remote on signal should come from the head unit or other location of choice. Use only shielded signal cables between head unit and amp. Try to keep as much space as possible between the audio wires and power wires - including speaker wiring.

By connecting to the battery directly, it acts like a giant capacitor. It is also where the cleanest, level DC power in the vehicle is - the further away from it you go, the dirtier is gets. Even only a slight AC ripple on the DC level voltage can wreak havoc on the sound coming from the speakers. You can add a "choke input filter" to further reduce the AC ripple. There's a ton of data on these filters, so I'll leave you to determine how far you want to dig - here is the Google result page:

choke input filter Google Search

Good luck!

No audio thru the speakers, headphones only

you answered your question. let me explain: the head phone plug is a switch- that disconnects the speaker and only allows sound to the headset. the switch is either broken, loose-wire or dislodged.need to get inside the unit, You could of course get creative. put an adaptor to the headphone jack;the adaptor can now allow you to run wires to the speakers. adaptor is avail from radioshack-same size as on the headset.

Want to use old desk top computer speakers with laptop

The headphone jacks on laptops do not provide a DC voltage to your speakers only a low powered audio output that will not provide enough power to drive most desktop speakers. If you want to do this you will probably need to get a set of speakers with an external power source. Then it should work fine(providing a headset does work in that jack).

I have altec lansing speakers AVS500 and have no sound

It sounds like the subwoofer speaker has blown. If you are comfortable working with a soldering iron and speakers then you can open the case and replace the speaker with a replacement subwoofer speaker. A good online store for replacement speakers is PartsExpress.com

The LED didn't turn on ,indicate the DC pwr was missing , you need to ensure there is a Dc supply to the speaker unit, once you got the LED on you will be able to control the volum.

NO Audio!!!!!!!

Sound like the speaker blew, which can be fixed. Although it can be tough to find a small enough speaker to mount inside the unit. You can mount a small external speaker on the bottom of the unit and wire it inside the detecter, you will have to take the unit apart and disconnect the existing speaker. This is a common problem and I have fixed several by mounting an external speaker on the unit. Good Luck
