Question about Car Audio & Video

I own an vauxhall omega 2.2, the central locking seems to be having mads moments. passenger door and both rear doors buttons lock, then open again. The only way i could lock drivers door was with key. Now car unlocks or locks, except drivers door where the button stays in locked position however i can still open the door!!!!? Although all the other doors are locked.Help please I don't know if this is affecting security. i.e. is the immobiliser activating? Is the actual alarm working? Because its nit going of when I open drivers door, when all the others are locked. Thanks Mags

Notes: NOTE: Jeep vehicles that use a gray ignition key have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed when remote starting. Use DEI part number 555C or 555U. *1 Use orange/black and pink/black at the drivers door lock switch to lock and unlock the drivers door. Use orange/purple and pink/purple at the passengers door lock switch to lock and unlock all of the other doors. *2 The dk. blue/pink will flash the hazard lights. They will flash even with a latch input to the wire. The parking lights can be activated by using a 1300 ohm resistor to ground on the yellow headlight wire. *3 Use a 330 ohm resistor to ground for headlight activation. Use 80 ohms to ground on the same wire to operate both the headlights and parking lights. *4 There are 4 separate door triggers wire, one for each door. Use all 4 wires and diode isolate each together. The drivers door is tan/red at the drivers door lock switch. The passenger door is tan/red at the passengers door lock switch. The drivers rear door is tan/orange and the passengers rear door is tan/yellow at the BCM. WHEN USING A 455J INTERFACE MODULE, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO USE THE SEPARATE TRIGGER WIRES. USE THE YELLOW WIRE AT THE UNDERDASH LIGHT FOR DOOR TRIGGER. *5 Factory alarm disarm requires a 463 ohm resistor to ground on the wire at the drivers door lock switch, you MUST use a relay. *6 The 4.7L motor has a separate coil for each cylinder. Go to any coil and use any wire that is NOT dk. green/orange. On the 4.0L motor use any of the tan/stripe wires at the coil pack, or go to one of the fuel injector and use the wire that is NOT dk. green/orange. *7 Can also use DEI part number 455J door lock interface control module. This will control door lock, unlock, arm, disarm, dome light supervision and more.

Hello.......i own tata indigo marina [petrol], have few doubts which i request u to clear them for me...... 1- there was some noise below the car, which i thought is of suspension, or lower arms, or tie...

1. Noise Problem needs to be Physically checked
2. Central Locking system is Connected to the Driver Door and other doors from there using Cables . If any problem in this cable System will cause above mentioned problem .
3. Basically these Brand of Car comes with an Engine below 1.5 liter in size , Particularly your car have a large body and in india , to reduce the excise duty makers keep the Engine Size lesser than 1.5 Liter to give the customer an attractive price . You cannot expect a pickup Like Scorpio or Innova . But You can change your air filter and get your breath adjusted for a better perfomance.

I need the wiring color codes for speakers in a 2002 alero

Here's the basics..Same as a grand am if you've done one of those..Let me know if you need any other info.

Driver underdash. Harness going into firewall. (If there's two harnesses running parallel to each other they will be in the harness that is higher up)

Constant: Red (+)
Ignition: Pink (+)
Starter: Yellow (+)
Heat/AC: Orange (+)
Horn: Black (-)
Parking Lights: Brown (+)
Ignition Switch. Remove radio to access

Ignition 2: Dark Green
Passlock 2: Yellow and Black Wires
Driver Kick: Harness Coming In From Driver Door Boot

Trunk Release: Black/White (-)
Lock/Unlock: White (-) (Negative pulse to lock, unlock needs a 1,500 ohm resistor)
Dome Sup: Green/Black (-)
Door Trigger 1: Green/Black (-)

Speaker removal on 2005 explorer sportrac ? getting the grill off the front door and speaker removal

i have attached a link with a how-to that has pictures so that you can get a better idea.

1. remove the window/lock switch panel by pulling upward at the front of the switch(held in by clips)careful not to break the tab towards the rear(see pic) unplug and remove
2. remove screw behind that panel
3. remove trim around the door handle, and screw behind that panel.
4. remove 2 screws at the bottom of the door panel
5. then pull straight up and towards you in one motion

VT Commodore 6x9 Speaker install

Hello taz_is_1,

Sure, it's OK as long as the new 6X9's are the same impedance as the door speakers.

Unless there are already wires and cutouts for rear shelf speakers, the installation will be pretty involved. And while I'm not sure of the Holden product, it's sister versions, Chevy Lumina and Omega, does not have such cutouts or wiring.

Wires going into the door interior for window controls, locks, and speakers will all be in a bundle and go from the vehicle frame into the door through a flexible rubber connector with grommets on both sides. You'll need to run your wires from the disconnected door speakers back through the same grommets to avoid pinching and damaging them. After you get them back into the vehicle interior, you can run them under the trim or carpet to the trunk area under the rear shelf. If you have never done such work before, I recommend you get someone who has to help you. You'll need to make an appropriately sized cutout to mount the 6X9's. And depending on the material, you may need some kind of reinforcement and/or spacers. Also, look out for anything underneath the trunk lid that may come into contact with the speakers. There's usually 2 metal rods than span the width of the trunk and run almost directly under the shelf. They will have to clear the speakers in order for the trunk to open and close properly.

It's more work than a simple speaker exchange with a good pair of aftermarket speakers. And the benefit is minimal. A really good set of 5 1/4, 6 1/2, or 6 3/4 Alpines, Bostons, or Infinitys will sound better than a mediocre set of 6X9's any day and you don't have to cut everything up to install them in most door openings.

How do i remove the door panels off a 1990 honda accord ex 4 door

There's a special tool used to pop the door panel off the the door frame. You could use a flat blade screwdriver as well, but this tool will do a better job. Get the door trim tool at auto parts store (pretty inexpensive).

First is to locate all the screws on the door panel, usually located on or near the arm rest/ door pull and on the trim where the door handle is located. In your case there may be small "buttons" which cover the screw heads .Use a small screw driver or small pick to lift these buttons which will expose the screw head. There may be one of these buttons on the upper portion of the panel as well. You just need to look for them. Then you insert the trim tool between the panel and door frame and pry the panel away. The panel is held to the frame with trim buttons or fasteners. Sometimes these fasteners break when they are popped, but they are replaceable(again, auto parts store).
Be careful not to pull too hard or yank the panel too far away from the frame , so as not to pull off any wires (speaker wires, elec door lock, etc). Once the panel is free, then its a matter of lifting up to disengage it from the top portion of the frame, where the panel channel fits into the frame on the inside of the window.
Speaker replacement - go to any electronics store that sells auto speakers and they can tell you which speaker will fit your vehicle. Or you can go on line. Look under auto speakers or audio, and again many sites have this fitment info for your vehicle.

open the door and look at the edge of the door that closes against the car (kinda wide and it is the area that seals against the weather stripping) you'll see a little oval hole with a black piece of metal bearly sticking out... just push it to the other side of the oval hole.

2001 Mazda Millenia Door Panel Removal

should be some screws in the door handle/armrest and you can use a screwdriver around the edges to pop the rivets they are just plastic and can be replaced for a few dollars if you mess a few up-or they do sell a door panel puller tool also-the whole panel should come off as one piece handle buttons and all and will be limited in the distance you can move it due to wiring bundles connected to door locks power mirrors and stuff-hope that helps

Remove the immobiliser. Your engine immobiliser is what is shutting your car down. You may need an Auto Electrcian to help you with this one, as one immobiliser is out, you will still want you central locking to work from control.
