How can I get my e-mail account to unfree

If you no longer can send or receive emails, there are a couple of possible reasons for this:
1. Your internet connection is down or you have it deselected or have it misconfigured. If you used wifi, your wifi may be off.
2. You have lost your email settings and need to revisit and re-enter the information. (Choose Mail>Preferences>Accounts (button) and start entering your email address, the mail server address, your password, etc.

Can't get sound when playing cd r dvd

If the CD-R/DVD has sound in another computer or player be sure your computer's external speakers are powered and on. Quit the player application that you are using for the DVD. If you are using the computer's internal speakers, or if the external speakers are plugged in and turned on, go to the System Preferences and open the Sound control panel. Be sure that the correct output sources is selected. Open the CD-R/DVD player and see if the sound now works.

I think that your speakers are probably broken, maybe you should try installing drivers first, if this doesn't help you can jump to the conclusion that they really are broken.

No sound when i put in cd or dvd was working ok untill my computer crashed

check the following

Microsoft Volume Control or your mixer program mute options and volume sliders.
Connect headphones to the stereo phone jack on your CD-ROM drive’s front panel; adjust the volume control settings on the drive. If there is sound from your headphones, check the CD audio cable connection from the CD-ROM drive to the audio card.
Ensure the speakers are properly connected to the audio card’s output connector.

hope this can help

goodluck

How TO use recovery cd's to recover TO ORIGINAL ACER ASPIRE

Just reinstall the OS again. When you don't need to save any data, just turn on your laptop and boot into the bios.
When you don't know how to get there look at the scrren during boot up and it will tell you which button you have to press. Can be F2, DEL or even another button. When you are in the Bios, just look around until you find boot priorities and change your boot priority to CD/DVD first followed by the HDD, save and exit. Insert your OS and when it ask you to boot from CCD/DVD hit any key on your keyboard and follow the installation instructions

If you are using 4 speakers , click control panel and right click to open sound manager, click speakers configurations and hit the 4 channels . This might be solved. Check also your volume and adjust. Is your DVD or CD rom working well ? If not ,repair and reinstall driver.

Altec Lansing VS4121 no sound

If removing and reinstalling the driver fixed your problem then there was nothing wrong with the speakes. There was probably a problem with your soundcard drivers.

That being said, you should double check that you speakers are plugged in to the right sound board connector and the power supply is plugged into the wall outlet.

Does you computer have a headphone jack? If it does, you might try plugging a headset into it to see if you can hear sound there. If you do then you'll know the soundboard is working properly and maybe the speakers really are part of the problem. CD/DVD drives usually have a headset jack, but this will only work if a cable was run inside the computer from the CD/DVD drive to either the soundboard or motherboard.

What kind of computer do you have? Do you know if you have on board sound or a seperate sound board?
