Blue screen at Microsoft second security package

After downloading Windows second security package I am getting a blue screen and a bad pool header whenever I try to connect to the internet. I had this problem earlier and I had to reload windows. When I didn't have this package I had no trouble connecting. Anybody have the same problem and any ideas about what I can do about this. I could always go back to when I didn't have my second security package but I'd rather not.

Thanks,

Gary

Blue screen BAD-POOL-HEADER

Your hard drive is messed up.
I'm assuming you are running Windows XP.
1. Log on to Piriform.com. Download CCCleaner and DeFraggler.
2. Run CCCleaner until you have no more registry problems. Reboot.
3. Then navigate to C:\TEMP and delete everything in the folder.
4. Navigate to C:\Windows\TEMP and delete everything in that folder.
5. Run Defraggler. This will take a while so brew a cup of tea, or coffee.

First Update all the Drivers in the Computer, then remove the windows Updates which were done before the issue. Later use the Link to Download the Memtest86+ to check the RAM Module Stress.
http://www.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=13000&t=0&i=2

Now clean the registry using the any Registry Clean up application. This should resolve the issue.

Each time I plug in the USB cable I get a blue screen. I am running Windows 7. I am trying to load maps onto the Triton 400.

Don't bother with the 400 on a Win7 machine even though Magellan claims it will work. I also keep getting a bad pool header blue screen on mine even though I've updated everything I could. The best thing to do is to either setup a dual boot system with WinXP and only plug it in while running XP (Don't bother with XP mode in Win7) or have a second system that's dedicated to XP and run Vantage point from it like what I run now from my laptop.

The whole problem is caused by the Triton driver and for some reason Win7 doesn't like it all that much. Vantage Point does run great inside Win7 but as soon as you plug in the Triton, that's when it all starts to screw up.

All we can do is wait until Magellan gives us a proper working driver.

Sony CRX835E CD-RW drive, Blue screen of Death on inserting CD-R

Bad Norton install. Actually bad Norton. Its causing driver corruption. The fact that it appears only when you insert a cd-r it's just random occurence, it could have happened as well when you would have tried to print something.
Best fix: just get rid of Norton , it's useless anyway. Get a decent antivirus for start. Otherwise uninstall it using the official uninstaller (not by using its uninstaller), run a registry cleaner, install it again using this time a diferent location and hope to gods that this time it won't screw your pc.
