If you moved the heating part ... there is an optical contact in tha back of the printer: a mate plastic into an optical contact, The black plastick should stay between the optocal parts.

Paper jam 2, check inside

You should troubleshoot jamming error message by removing toner cartrige, check if the little plastic sensors on the paper path are not stuck somehow, reinsert toner, close door, open back door check if the fuser sensor is ok ( and not broken), clean the papertray roller, restart printer and it should work. If that doesnt fix your problem it can be a faulty sensor or some tiny paper left somewhere you can't see and sensor detects .. Hope it helps.

HAVING A 13.20.00 ERROR CODE ON A HP 43OO. PLEASE HELP!!

JAM IN TOP COVER AREA
A jam exists in the top-cover area.
A 13.20.00 error message indicates that the printer power was turned on or that the printer attempted to initialize while the pre-feed sensor (PS102), the top of page sensor (PS102) and/or the fuser delivery sensor (PS108) was detecting media.

When the paper feed assembly is installed, the sensor-flag spring must be correctly positioned
for the flag to operate. If a paper-jam error message (13.20.00 JAM) appears on the control-panel
display after you replace the paper feed assembly, verify that this sensor-flag spring is installed
correctly.
Hook the spring over the flag tab (see 1 in Figure). Fasten the paper feed assembly to the
chassis with the flag spring positioned in the hole in the transfer assembly. Release the spring
from the tab on the flag (see 2 in Figure). See figure below.
Verify that the flag is held in the upright position, can freely move, and always returns to the upright
position. If the flag does not move freely, or return to the upright position, an error
message (13.20.00 JAM) will appear on the control-panel display when the printer power is turned
on.

Canon Pixma MP160 shows errors E3 and won't print

Hi there,

Error E3 : Check if the paper has jammed in the machine, reload the paper in the machine correctly and then press [Black] or [Color].

Paper Jams :
Cause : Paper jams in the paper output slot/ Auto Sheet Feeder.
Landscape Credit Card sized paper jams inside the machine.

Action : Remove the paper according to the following procedure.
1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the paper output slot, whichever is easier.
* If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the machine, open the Scanning Unit and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the machine at this time. After removing the paper, close the Scanning Unit, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON.
* If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON. The paper will eject automatically.

2) Reload the paper into the machine and press [Black] or [Color].
* If you have turned OFF the machine in step , you will need to retry printing, because this operation cancels any print jobs in progress.

If you cannot remove the paper or the paper tears inside the machine, or if the paper jam error continues after removing the paper, contact a Canon service representative.
Important : You cannot load Credit Card sized paper in the landscape orientation.

Hope this helps.
Have a good day.

Indicates paper jam,I followed troubleshooting for paper jam, still get error message

From another site...

"This can be caused by anything obstructing the carriage area, like a
paper clip or small scrap of paper. The other reason this may occur is
if the lubrication for the head carriage becomes sticky or dried out.

Usually to correct this, check the rails or guides that the head
carriage rides along, and clean them with a lintfree cloth. Then
replace the removed lubricant with an appropriate type of lubricant
(3in1 or sewing machine lightweight machine oil for oiled contact
points, a lightweight lithium grease for greased areas."

I also know that any paper jam, or bum can dismantle springs and bits and pieces inside, as it's a common error with a lot of printers.

The only 2 things I can suggest are too..

Search Online and find the Manual for your printer, and see if it's in the FAQ or support for common issues.

OR.. what I usually do, like yesturday when I worked on a client's printer with the same error, is to dismantle the back, take off the cover, and depending on the model, there are usually springs or an arm that works with the feeding of the paper and/or direction of it. If they are not in the correct place/look bent, etc. Play around with it.

Otherwise there isn't much else you can do. Printers are not worth repairing, and the manufactures do not count such issues under warranties - bastards. ( >=( ) so other than that, buy a new cheapish one.

Hopefully I have been of some assistance!

Good luck!

Epson R320 "General Error" message - unable to clear

If you are getting a 'carriage jam' error as soon as you turn on your Epson printer with no tasks in progress, then check for any piece of paper stuck in the carriage. Remove the paper carefully. If the paper tears, part of it might remain inside the paper path and damage the product.

Fix 'Carriage Jam' : Open Door, clear carriage jam,
and then press OK to continue' error message
Turn off the printer and open it to see where the paper is stuck.
Manually move the carriage toward the opposite side.
Check the paper path and remove any piece of paper or any other object that is stuck in the path.
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

HP 4200 printer paper jam. No paper is jammed

OK, if the printer says jam but no paper inside and prints after you open and close the cover the paper likely never made it out of the tray. Or the machine thinks the page never made it out of the machine.
As far as input check your rollers 1 in the tray and the pick up roller in the machine if you don't have alot of pages on the machine these likely OK.
Next (and this I have found often) check the paper back stop in the tray. This is the guide to set the length of paper. If it is set just a little long the roller cannot catch the edge of the paper. Sometimes the teeth the guide sets in are broken or worn.
The output would be the sensor in the fuser replace fuser.
Hope this helps

202 pam jam

usually it means that a sensor in your fuser is bad. If you have a P.M. Kit replaced the fuser and clean the printer.

but before you do, make sure that you have cleared all jams, including in the fuser.

Its probably time for a Preventive Maintanence

Samsung SCX-4521 "Paper Jam 2" won't clear

I had this problem too. For me the answer turned out to be the paper sensor in the back part of the machine, behind the little back door just under the top part of the machine. This sensor hangs down from a thin rod that runs across the width of the machine, and is held in place by a small spring that encircles the same rod that supports the finger. The finger had apparently gotten moved so the spring was dislodged from its proper place. I was able to rotate it around the rod with my finger & get the spring moved back to where it should be. This seems to have cleared the problem--I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
