Hi I recently brought a second hand NEC (Versa M400) Lap top, only to find it did not have genuine windows. At this point my sound was fine and I was listening to music heaps.
I had everything cleared off my lap top and new genuine windows XP installed. Since then I have no sound apart from the odd beep when a box pops up to tell me I cant do something and stuff like that.
I tried with and without speakers plugged in- nothing.
When I look in sounds and audio devices in my control panel it says there is no audio device, and all the options are greyed out.
Please Help :(
Claire
