Question about Olympus DS-30 Digital Voice Recorder

1 Answer

Please reread my problem

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, BUT I already know how to erase files. As noted in my original post, there are not files remaining in any of the directories (except for some samples that came in Audible). The PROBLEM is that when I shift into record mode the "available memory" bar shows memory as being 4 hours and 16 minutes full, i.e., basically full. That is the problem. Please revisit this or refer to someone who is familar with this problem.

Olympus VN-480 digtial recorder - can't get my files to play back

if the power is interupted or improperly unplugged from the computer, the files may be corrupted... try to play the files and while playing move them to another folder... this may get your files back... else you will need to clear the recorder by pressing stop and erase at the same time for about 3 seconds.

Won't record

Hi,
I suggest that you to select Reset to Factory Defaults in the System menu to soft reset reset the unit or by pressing Delete and the power button and holding them down to hard reset. Good luck!

I need to erase the files

Normally, hold down the erase button until the folder begins blinking, then release the button and press it again. You will have to do this for each file in the folder.
