I have a Presario M2000 but it doesnt appear to have wireless capability. Is this possible or is it just not turned on?

the wireless icon is in the corner but can't find any networks and the F8 button dosen't seem to do any thing.

Reinstalled Windows now the wireless button turns the light on but no wireless nic card shows up in device manager and no wireless connection in Network connections??

My wlan icon just popped up one day saying disabled but when I tried to do a restore point or go to properties nothing worked. I even tried to reinstall my windows edition but still nothing is working. any advice?
