Question about HP Scanjet 5590 Flatbed Scanner
Far too often when I scan using the autofeed on my HP Scanjet 5590 Flatbed the document comes back blank (I loaded the document correctly). What is causing this? I do a lot of scanning and have to double check every scan to make sure I'm not forwarding on a blank PDF.
Scanning is possible in 'Text' mode and 'Picture' Mode. In text mode, which is simple 'Black & White", this can happen, particulalrly if the text is in color. Either you increase the contrast settings or scan the document in Grey/color and convert it to B&W using the software. By this you need not check if there is output!. ( I am assuming that otherwise the scanner is performing okay). File size in B&W is very small as compared to Grey/color.
