Question about Dishwashers

Blanco Dishwasher BIDW605 does not

Blanco Dishwasher BIDW605 some times does not fill with water and on other occasions when it does fill fill water the wash pump only runs for about ten seconds and stops. Then after a few minutes L1 light flashes which indicates water fill problems. I do not have any wiring diagram for the unit or timing chart for the control board

Have checked all water filters and hoses and they are fine. The inlet water solenoid has been replaced but this did not fix the problem

I would check the hose/water filters. make sure that you have proper flow from the hoses

Blanco dishwasher

Dishwashers do not usually complete the cycle if the water temperature is not adequate for the wash program selected. This could be due to inlet hot water not at correct temperature if dishwasher uses hot water or the heater or thermostat within dishwasher being faulty and not able to heat the inlet cold water to the right temperature. Try to run the dishwasher with the rinse or quick wash (low temperature) setting and see if it completes. Might help if you post the Model number in the comments field.

Dishwasher won't fill with water

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

No water is coming in the dishwasher. I can hear the water running, but the water is not coming into the dishwasher

If you can hear the water running - but it's not filling, you most likely have a drain problem, which is being stuck open. Usually the motor kicks in and either pumps the water through the wash arms (during wash cycle) or through the drain (during drain cycle) the switch that/or flap could be stuck on the drain and it is pumping it out the drain all the time instead of the wash arms.

My Kenmore Portable Dishwasher model number 665.17769K600 will not fill with water, I have to manually fill with water and it will then work. What could be causing this?
