How can I tuun on my webcam camaraon

I have no idea what you are using with the webcam. Try the settings in the program you are using. I don't think it's the webcam. Tweak the setting, look for webcam setup in the program you are using with friends.

How to set the webcam

Hi,

Follow the below steps to set up a webcam on your PC
1. Before connecting the webcam to the PC USB, install the driver CD that came along with the Webcam.
2. Once installation is complete, insert the Webcam cable into the USB port.
3. You will find some drivers getting installed at the lower right corner of your screen.
4. Wait until you see the message "Device is now ready to be used"

Here you go. Your webcam is now ready to be used. Test the webcam with some video chat software or else
1. Press Window+Pause keys or right click my computer and select Properties.
2. Under hardware tab, click Device manager
3. Expand the imaging devices and you should find the webcam name listed there. Else the installation of your webcam was not proper.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions

I cannot find the "video and voice set up" in yahoo messenger that's why i cannot use my cyberlinkyoucam as my webcam

Yahoo! Messenger offers voice services, such as PC-to-PC, PC-to-cell or PC-to-landline calling. You can also participate in chat rooms and use the voice chat feature instead of typing. However, slow connection speeds or improper settings can interfere with voice activation in Yahoo! Messenger.

Instructions
  1. Step 1 Reduce echoes by using a headset instead of speakers and a microphone. Place the microphone farther away from the speakers, if possible. Adjust the volume of the speakers and the microphone.
  2. Step 2 Verify your Internet connection speed if your friend's voice sounds choppy. The computer modem speed must be 56K or higher in order to send voices or sounds.
  3. Step 3 Go to "Actions" and "Call Setup" in Yahoo! Messenger if you can't hear, or your friend can't hear you. Test the sound by following the instructions that proceed call setup.
  4. Step 4 Click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your computer screen if you want to test the sound manually. Uncheck "Mute," if necessary, and make sure sound levels are above 50 percent.
  5. Step 5 Pick "Preferences" in Yahoo! Messenger if you have trouble with connecting to the voice server. Choose "Connection," then select "No Proxies." Log in to Messenger again to check the voice server.

Can't get the webcam to work

many times depending on the tyoe of webcam you have the driver, or program that came with it may not allow for certain aspect ratios. as is a 1440x900 your setting would be a 16:9 ratio (widescreen) check to see if the cam supports a hi ratio or "HI-Def" output. if it does then i would suggest either a differnt webcam utility or an updated driver. a good freeware program for webcam is webcam max.
