I am having the very same problem. Have removed the cover at the base and watched it (carefully) cycle and it is most definitely coming from the part that moves (actuator?) when the unit drains the washer. Any advise on replacement? I am willing to do it myself if advised. Suggestions?

We found it to be a crack in the actual bottom of the plastic tub. We've done epoxy, and tried to fix it several times as it's out of warranty (of course). Started leaking again this morning, and my husband says there's just no fix to it. After all, how does one go about welding a plastic piece? ha ha Frustrating!

I have had my danby DDW396W for 2 1/2 years now and it just started leaking from the bottom, on the right side. My warranty expired after a year. I tried calling a local appliance fixing store but they said it would be $60 just to look at it. I tried opening up the unit to see what was going on at the bottom of it and it does look like it has been leaking as there is a lot of rust under the main motor but i couldn't open it up enough to really see where the problem was. it is still washing dishes but last time i used it it was leaking like a lake and soaked a full bath towel in no time. i'm not sure what to do; i really like my countertop d/w and don't have room for a full sized one; do i buy another danby and just junk this one or is there something i can do about the leak?

Mine is leaking underneath too.  it looks like the water is coming from the actuator that allows the drain to open.  in fact, it is only leaking when the actuator opens the drain.

Jackie, It is probably a seal(gasket) leaking, you may want a service tech. to have a look.

Dishwasher leaks

Hello - Since you have previously replaced the bottom gasket and issue continues I suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately. The leak could possibly be coming from the drain motor/pump or a loose hose connection located underneath.

WATER IS LEAKING FROM THE BOTTOM. IT'S COMING FROM FROM THE PUMP.

This is repaired by pulling the unit out and working from the rear and underneath, check for the leak, either replace the pump or gasket or hose, depending on where the leak is coming from. You may need some star screwdriver type tool.

Waterleak

is it leaking from the door or from underneath it. If it leaks from the door then you need a new seal. If it is leaking from underneath it could be the waterline coming into the dishwasher or the drain hose. Both fittings are underneath the dishwasher and are accessible through the lower panel on the face. Let me know if you can figure out where the leak is coming from and I will help you solve the problem.

Thx

It is still under warantee-contact the company you bought it from. If you fix it yourself you could void the warantee.

Plumbing connection to dishwasher leaking

Remove bottom panel and run dishwasher while monitoring it. A large leak may be from a hose off at pump underneath. Mice can chew holes in hoses too.
