Hi, the heater of my 2000 mitsi galant says 30 degrees but still cold. sometimes normal but sometimes 30 degrees is too cold and when i turn dial to 30.5 then too hot.

Is the engine getting up to temperature?
If so, then the issue is with the interior heater system.

Check or change the interior thermistor.
If this doesn't help, then replace the climate control computer/control box.

Where is the heater control valve for a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant

The part you need is a dealer stocking part. There is an electric motor that turns heater core on and off. It's located under the dash to the left of the glove box. Some disassembly required. The part will cost about $120 to $180. part number is #MR958603. I saved money by purchasing it on line. It is a stocking part at most Mitsubishi dealers. Once you pull the glove box out and remove the bottom half of the dash all the way across, you should be able to gain access to the motor to replace it. Caution: if you do not put everything back in correctly and tie/tape it all back down carefully in the correct places you will have lots of under the dash noises when you are done. I do not think there is much chance for a recall on a car that is so old. It is not uncommon for an 8 year old part fail. Some Galant owners were able to get there cars repainted when the clear coat came off. But again, it is too late for the rest of us.

Where is the blower motor on a 2002 mitsubsihi galant? Is there a heater core, and if so where is that?

Yes it has a heater core. Both the blower motor and H core are under the dash, passenger side, just to right of center dash.

Where is the heater control valve locatedon a 2002 mitsubishi

Most heater control valves are on or near the firewall behind the engine. Look for coolant hoses attached to a small metal piece. It also will have an arm that has a cable from inside the vehicle attached to it.

Cooling Fan not coming on 2002 Mitsubishi Galant

Check the fan itself for free turning--if it grinds or is hard to turn, replace the fan motor. The engine heat sensor reports temperature to the computer which turns on the relay and it turns on the fan motor. If you have A/C, turn it on--that should force the fan on all the time the car is running. If that works, then replace the sensor. If you don't have A/C, take a chance on the sensor--it's not too expensive. Wrap the threads with several turns of teflon tape when installing and don't over-tighten.

Hi my heater on my mitsubishi galant 03 heater isnt working before this happend we were hearing a clicking noise when we turned it to heat.

Same problem I had for over a year...A mechanic might try to tell you it is simply the heater core (don't fall for it). There is a control under the dash that operates the temperature gauge. Basically that control is gone and must be replaced before you do have a heater core problem (which you will know, usually once your car overheats or you smell antifreeze). I know money is tough but i think price ranges on this to be done as more manual labor is required than replacing the actual part itself. You are looking at roughly $300.00.

2002 mitsubishi galant

Has it overheated lately?
My wife overheated our Galant and it just stopped working, it cranks but that's it.
I pulled the sparkplugs and found them wrapped in a gewey jelly like substance. Like an oil/antifreeze combo.
I am going to replace the entire motor for $1000 as taking it to the mechanics to theorize and practice may cost more.
