The cavalier wiring-top row is orange 12 volts regardless of the key switch position,yellow 12 volts when the key is on/or accessory, pink is for power antenna or factory amp turn on, grey is for lights dimmer control, black ground,green right front speaker +,light green right front speaker -,grey left front speaker +,tan left front speaker-, bottom row is brown left rear speaker +,yellow left rear speaker-,blue right rear speaker+,light blue right rear speaker- be carefull because you have 2 yellow wires and 2 grey wires if you follow the rows like I explaned you will be fine-If you need the wiring for the pioneer radio E-Mail me at merle840@aol.com

I have a pioneer DEH-8400mp. When you press the OPEN button which drops the front faceplate, the rear display turns off, and none of the buttons do anything. Can you help?

It is the failure of the flexible strip line wire that comes to the panel as this strip breaks of after sometime due to use.
you will need to remove the panel and the main unit to replace the strip which can be procured from Pioneer.

How do i hook up two speakers to a deh-21001b pioneer radio. I dont want the four speakers

Hook 1 speaker to the white (+) and white/black (-) wires and the 2nd speaker to the gray (+) and gray/black(-) wires.

The green and the purple wires are the other speaker wires dont use them cut them so they are connected to anything and tape them with black electric tape so they wont short out and touch the chassis of the car by accident. Also dont let them touch each other too thats why you have to tape the exposed wires and insulate them. Many people forget to do that.

Pioneer deh-p3000 when i turn the key off and back on the stereo's doesnt remember anything

did you wire the radio yourself? it sounds like you have the yellow wire connected to a switched power source. the yellow wire needs to go to a power source which is always hot, or constant, whether the key is on or not.

No Power, need help asap!

Check your grounds! If you used any "scotch-locks" wire connectors (the kind that crimp to an existing wire to hook up another) get rid of them. have had multiple customers with issues with thoes things. remember the basic electrical circuit needs both power and ground to opperate correctly. Good luck!

Memory not working

check the yellow wire is the main power so always need to exist power on that wire even if the key is not on the ignition switch,and the red wire need to be conected to a switched ignition wire from the vehicle.

I try to fix my pioneer deh2300, but no sound.....

If you have verified that indeed all the wires are connected as to where they are supposed to be connected, pls try:
1. Activating Internal Speaker to ON in the DFS Alarm Function'
2. the brown wire (or whatever color wire it is that is to be attached to a mobile phone) must not be connected to anything;
3. try all sources, AM, FM, CD;
4. check that none of the speaker wires is grounded.

Pls post back for any developments or the lack of it.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
