Question about Lexmark E332n Laser Printer
I have an E332n that is not detecting the oem toner, but will detect a 3rd party refurbished/recycled toner cartridge. Very strange problem. Any insight? THANKS IN ADVANCE
First I would check the kill chip which is located underneath the toner cartridge when you hold it upside down it should be a small green or red circuit board about 1inch by 1/2 inch with either one single electronic component or several components on it now if any appear to be missing or coming off of the board then the printer will not see the cartridge this is a common problem with refurbished toner I recommend using OEM toner 50% (at least) of the lexmark printers that I see everyday are sent in for repair due to this problem. Lexmark put this on for product protection and it appears to be working pretty well which is what it is supposed to do
