There should be a web address somewhere in the manual that came with the machine. When you find the web site you will be able to download the latest firmware for your machine.

I want to register my new Blu-Ray DVD player.

You should be able to go to your manufacturers website to register your DVD player. Normally you will first register yourself, and then register your unit. If your player has the ability to connect to the Internet for extra content on Blu-Ray discs, the website will have a way to allow you to connect your unit to the site and then their software will automatically read your model and serial number. The site will also allow you to update the BIOS, or basic operating system of your player, by again connecting to the website and having it read your version of software to determine if you need an update.

If the above information does not resolve your issue please post another question but include the details of your unit, specifically the manufacturer, and model number of the unit. I will then be able to provide you with specific instructions to aid you in resolving your issue.

No color on blu ray dvd or dvd's played, just bought this outdated model at RC Wiley, is a 2009 model, can't even register online, no category for entering model #

I would try to return unit, when it comes to electronics, you get like 10 days to register the unit from the date when it was bought new. With that being said, technology changes so quickly, you will only be able to get support for the unit for about a year. With blue rays down to as low as $39 you should have just bought a new one.

I would buy a new one, it will probably cost you about the same or more to have it fixed.

No Disc

Get a new machine. Not "seeing" the disc could be bad laser, transport, electronics, on and on. Given the repair cost, a NEW one is your only practical alternative.

Trouble Loading & Not Registering To TV

I can't say 100% but it sounds similar to the problem I had with the same model . The sleep mode in the on/off switch had gone bad and a new switch fixed the problem. It was about $42 to rtepair at my local electronics repair shop. Hope this helps.
