Question about Canon CR-55 Pass-Through Scanner

Cr-180 Won't Detect Checks

When inseting a check into hopper, scanner just sits there. fixes in the past were to turn unit off and on repeatedly until unit detected item. unit has been cleaned.

My fi-5220C says No paper on ADF paper chute or Hopper. (Code: Ds32003)


Hi,

"No papers on the Chute unit" error occurs when the Hopper empty sensor detects no paper loaded on the Chute unit at the receipt of a Feed command.To recover this, Load documents on the Chute unit.
1. Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner? Press power button of the scanner for more than 2 seconds to turn it OFF, and after more than 2 seconds elapse, press the power button to turn the scanner ON.
2. Is there a slip of paper left near Hopper empty sensor? Open the ADF and check inside visually.
3. Check the performance of Hopper empty sensor. Conduct Maintenance mode to see if the sensor works properly.

If the error still occurs, confirm that the cable is correctly connected then replace the sensor EM.

Scanner has been used for a few years, and is frequently pulling multiple items through at the same time. We have cleaned the rollers with alcohol wipes, and fed the waffle papers through to clean.


If this is a Canon CR-180 or 180II machine then the feed tires need to be replaced. Often if you are using the grey feed tires, the middle one will come loose from the platic hub and cause this problem no matter how much you tighten the tension wheel. The part numbers of the seperatrion roller assembly and the feed tire assembly are as follows.

MG1-3530-000 Seperation roller (has 3 tires)
MF1-4210-000 Feed roller (has 2 tires)

You can also replace the two in the hopper area, they are:

MF1-4352-000
MF1-4353-000

That is a common problem on older machines; hopefully that helps

How to reset toner on Ricoh Aficio 180


If you want to reset the toner bottle, open the front cover, lift up on the green toner handle, push the lever in to slide out the toner hopper, pull out the toner bottle, give it 1 or 2 gentle shakes, and put it back in the hopper. Then push the hopper closed until it snaps into place, push the handle back down, and close the front door.

The grinder only grinds the beans very coarsely, resulting in weak espresso. Adjusted the lever several different ways with same result. Can't figure it out! Help! Haven't had good coffee! Can't think! ...


First ignore the numbers on the adjustment knob, lets fix that, with the grinder running turn towards fine as far as you can, then check grind if it is not fine enough, then remove screws in bean hopper and lift slowly until you can turn the knob without it touching the gears and move it towards coarse say #12 or so, then lower hopper so that knob sits on gears and repeat the testing until you get the best shot of espresso. Just move toward finer.

I´ve got a message on my oki C5510 mfp printer "Failed to get printer information - Check printer". I´ve checked all cables and everything is ok. The toner light and exclamation light staying lit...


Check the toners are not empty. The printer only estimates how much it thinks should be left, there is a possibilty one is empty. this is best done by removing each toner in turn and checking that the hopper in the drum is full to level with the sponge surrounding it. Next check are the toner sensors. These are small and located to the right of each toner cartridge in the wall of the printer, one could be dirty creating the error and not allowing the printer to start up completely, causing the scanner connection to fail and giving you "Failed to get printer information". On this model the scanner and printer are essentially separate units joined by a USB cable.

  1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.
  2. Plug in your All-in-One again and turn it on.
  3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.If this does not resolve the issue then try the next steps.
  1. Power off your All-in-One.
  2. Use both hands to lift up the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it open.
  3. Turn the All-in-One on. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.
  4. Remove the color print cartridge.
  5. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  6. If the error message reappears, replace the black print cartridge with a new print cartridge.
    If it does not repeat steps 1-3 and then go to step 7.
  7. Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black print cartridge.
  8. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  9. If the error message occurs again, replace the color cartridge.
  10. If an error message reappears, repeat steps 1-3 and reinstall both print cartridges.
  11. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
  12. If you receive the error message again, replace both cartridges.
