Re: Lexmark Printer X125 to be re-installed in my PC Dell...
Here's the page for driver download for Lexmark X2500: http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:590:0:0. As Lexmark doesn't list an "x125" printer. If you verify that the model posted is incorrect you can find all of the driver downloads (what you need for your printer to work since your OS re installation) for Lexmark printers there. Good luck.

*Turn computer off. *Plug printer into a port on the back of your computer. There are very few ports so you should be able to find one that makes your printer plug. Plug printer into power strip/outlet. *Turn computer back on. *Keep printer off for now. During installation it should tell you to turn the printer on. *Put the CD that came with the printer into the cd/dvd drive. A menu should appear. You want to "Install" or "Setup" your printer. Something along those lines. Follow the instruction from there. *After successful installation of the printer restart the computer.
That is as basic as I can make it. I hope this helps. Thanks.
if you know the model of your printer it might be easier if you can download the software to the internet for you to be able to install it to your computer and have it working. please check if its currently installed , by clicking start, then printer and faxes tab, then see if its there, if its not there then you need to install the downloaded software available at lexmark site. if its there then check the connection at the back of your computer, if its properly inserted and plug to the your pc.
Your printer actually does not run windows (just for your information).
Anyway, I suggest you try installing the driver which is located here.
If the problem persists, try printing an alignment page. The printer
may also have an option for cleaning print heads which you can also try.
If non of the above solutions solve your problem, you may have a defective black cartridge.
