Xerox phaser 6120 paper jam

I had a paper jam in the fusee, the paper concertinaed up. When I tried to remove it, it tore off. Now there is paper jammed in that I can just reach but it is tearing off in little bits as I try to pull it. I have lifted the envelope levers.

I have taken back plastic panel off. It doesn't improve access. There is all the electronics on a board and anyway the fusee has a back to it.

got a pair of forceps today and got the paper out. Paper now goes through the machine but it is now not "fixing" the powder. You can smear the page with your finger, like an artist using chalk. Any ideas?

Check to see if there is anything stopping the paper like a small piece of paper/paperclip.
Also see if the reg rollers are turning.
I DO HAVE A FULL SERVICE MANUAL FOR THIS MACHINE ON DISK AVAILABLE
try the top 2 things if you still have the problem please get back to me.
Thank You

HI,

Simply open up the back end of the printer (Not where you insert the ink cartridge).
There should be some kind of a switch of lever or get a pair of needle nose pliers or some tweezer and carefully remove the paper if you can grab it.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution.

Xerox phaser 6010, a small piece of paper tore while removing a jame from the rear. It then ate the small corner of paper and is in "jam mode". Where do I look for the piece? Can I open the machine...

I've had problems like this in the past.
if you don't see the piece of paper then you could try pushing a thicker page in the paper path hoping to dislodge it. Alternatly try printing a page and wait for a jam. Open the printer paper path and try not to disturbe it as you open the panel, to look for clues as to where it gets stuck. Hopefully it's somwhere you can get your hands or tweezers on.
Good luck.

Xerox Phaser 6120 cannot feed paper without help

As this is an old posting I should imagin you might have it sorted by now.
if you have these type of problems clean the feed in rollers with a alcohol wipe or similar. There is usually a solonoid / clutch release mechanism that controls the paper selected from tray. I would go for the simplest solution. Over time the rollers get coated in paper lint, clean water is usually best if that fails perhaps an alcohol wipe might improve matters.
Good luck.

Laser color printers

I know the phaser 7400, 7700, 7750 and 7760 are usable with transfer paper, as well as the larger platforms such as the 250.
I have thought that the 6120 can be used for that. It has a fuser, and most every product that uses a fusing type ink should be able to use transfer paper.

Xerox phaser 6120 laser printer paper jam fuser

You can remove the imaging unit, then
Depending on the stock being used for the job, raise or lower the left and right colored Fuser separator levers. The levers will stay in the raised or lowered position on their own.
the levers are green. The fuser itself is not easy to remove.
Do you have any warranty left on the machine? Or a depot repair agreement?

Xerox phaser 6120 colur laser printer

Not sure how long you have had that machine. But remove the paper and the tray. Dampen a slft cloth with some soapy cleaner, such as fantastic or Formula 409. Look into the paper feed area for the rollers and clean them well. Maybe 2 or 3 times. Then if you have some handy wipe them again with some alcohol.
Your feed rolls, depending on how many pages you have run, may be worn out and need replaced. But that should not occur with less then 40-50 thousand prints on it.
I suspect just some contaminant on the feed rolls.
Let me know please.
