Xerox phaser 6120 paper jam

I had a paper jam in the fusee, the paper concertinaed up. When I tried to remove it, it tore off. Now there is paper jammed in that I can just reach but it is tearing off in little bits as I try to pull it. I have lifted the envelope levers.

I have taken back plastic panel off. It doesn't improve access. There is all the electronics on a board and anyway the fusee has a back to it.

got a pair of forceps today and got the paper out. Paper now goes through the machine but it is now not "fixing" the powder. You can smear the page with your finger, like an artist using chalk. Any ideas?

Check to see if there is anything stopping the paper like a small piece of paper/paperclip.
Also see if the reg rollers are turning.
I DO HAVE A FULL SERVICE MANUAL FOR THIS MACHINE ON DISK AVAILABLE
try the top 2 things if you still have the problem please get back to me.
Thank You

HI,

Simply open up the back end of the printer (Not where you insert the ink cartridge).
There should be some kind of a switch of lever or get a pair of needle nose pliers or some tweezer and carefully remove the paper if you can grab it.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution.

Paper jam

  1. Take the paper out of the paper trays. This will prevent any more paper from being drawn into the printer to further the jam.
  2. Remove the cover from the housing of your Lexmark printer. This will expose the inner workings of the printer, and you also should be able to see the jammed paper.
  3. Pull gently on the jammed paper. In many cases this is all that is required; the paper jam should move out slowly and smoothly.
  4. Press the flashing paper jam button. This will allow the rotors to turn freely, which will facilitate the easy removal of the jam.
  5. Unplug your Lexmark printer if the jam persists. This will allow you to pull more firmly without the gears working against you.
  6. Examine the inner workings and confirm that all paper and shreds of paper have been removed. If the paper tore during the clearing, make sure none remains or it will inhibit normal printer function.
  7. Plug the printer back in, refill the paper tray and try to print again.
Thank you.

The paper had jammed when i was printing, i removed the jammed paper and tried printing again. however, the display on the printer shows paper jammed. what now?

You may have left behind a tiny piece of paper that tore off your sheet as you removed it. Make sure that you have all of the jammed paper and look carefully for any remnants inside. Look to see if the printer did not pick up a second sheet that is still in the system somewhere.

Error code H5-01 how to fix on a sharp arm350u

That is a repeated uncleared jam in the paper transport. You may have a piece of paper wrapted in the fuser that you cant see, or one of the sensors on the transport between the paper feed and fuser are dirty.
You can try entering doagnostics, you press P * C * or # * C*, that will put the machine in diagnostics. Then press 14, then enter 1 then press enter. That will reset the machine, If the 14 routene doesnt work look for an uncleared jam or clean sensors.

Here is what it says.

Torn paper jam Brother mfc 440cn

I pull paper out to remove it too, no worries, who doesn't.
You may be able to open the back of the unit up and there are a few rollers there than can be manipulated. Make sure it's unplugged. Don't force too hard but a little push or pull wont hurt.
Try rolling all the rollers that are in reach to see if you find anything, and they may need to be cleaned a little (not with anything wet!) with your finger is fine...they collect paper dust. You can blow in any area to try and clear any other paper dust also.
Let me know if this helps.

It sounds like the paper jam is in the fixing assembly, and you can not access it unless you take it to a service center for canon products.

Printer says paper jam, but there is no paper in the printer. (mfc 210c)

If the paper tore when removing it, chances are there could be a small piece of paper still causing the paper jam. Sometimes all you need to do is turn the fax off for a few minutes and then turn it on again and the paper jam message is gone
