I am having a problem with my HP Photosmart M547 digital camera...when I try to view the photos that I've taken, a message appears, "Cannot display image: HPIM0109.JPG". (the last couple of numbers changes with each picture...0107, 0108, etc.) Any solutions as to how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

HP Photsmart E327 has message, cannot display image. HP website says that it is because of improper shutdown... but no solution seems to be given, except to put onto computer and see them there, and print off, I suppose.

HP Photosmart E327 has error message Cannot display image. HP website says that it is because of being shutdown improperly. Their suggestion is to transfer them to the pc and keep them their, I guess. Lesson, always shutdown properly.

Cheers

Why wont HP M407 live view work?

If live view does not work is not to dramatic, but when you can't open pictures you took it becomes scary. With not to be able to open your pictures, does that mean the .jpg gives an error, or does the screen stay boac?
If so, I think we have to fear the image sensor or the connection to the image sensor is defect.. I don't think it will be worth trying to repair a 10 year old camera, but if there was never any leaking of batteries in the camera, that could have oxidised or even eaten contacts or cables, perhaps you once could open the camera, before trowing it in the bin.
Check if any flat cable came lose of something else gets you attention.
I would start saving for a new camera. (I'm saving to for a new camera, but for a different one)

Is it possible to recover missing pictures?

I don't think those picture can be recovered as those might have stored in the temporary memory for a while and every time he took another pic it might have over-written in the previous one..

Better remove the Micro SD card and try to connect to PC and check if its available in the card

I TOOK SOME PICTURES WITH MY NIKON COOLPIX S3000 & I EDITED THEM ON MY COMPUTER USING PAINTSHOP PRO. I PUT THEM BACK ON MY CAMERA BUT NOW I CANT VIEW ANY OF THEM I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAYS...

Most cameras will not display images that were not taken on that camera (or at least a camera of the same brand). In addition, they will not display edited photographs. If you want to display edited photographs, you'll need to do it on the computer or a digital photo frame.

No image display on camera mode

There are different settings. You can view the past photos because you are using the viewer for that, but you have a setting off in the menu. You need to turn on view photo or preview photo after picture taken. I am not sure what it is in the Canon line, but look in your manual for the setting.

No images

Look in Explorer at the .jpg files on your card to make sure they have information in each file. Next, make sure your software is set to view .jpg files,i.e. Faststone Image viewer (download.com) can be set for virtually any image format. If you viewed the images on the lcd monitor they were on the card at that time. Make sure you haven't somehow protected those image files or have accidentally reformatted it.
