Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

I get sound with no picture for abou 30 seconds and then the tv shuts down again

My tv worked fine last night. This morning I went to turn it on and the green light was flashing, I heard the tv powering up and then it clicked off. I could also hear the cable but I couldn't see any picture. I held then "menu" and "input" buttons down right after it turned off and the green light blinked 6 times, paused then blinked 6 more times (which I think means error code 66) and then repeated that for a total of 5 times. I don't know what error code 66 means and I don't know how to fix my tv. I think it's an air flow problem from what I'm reading from others but I'm not sure. Please help!

I bought new lamps of the same part number, but not from Mitsubishi. I hear a fan noise, but don't know about clicking. When is it supposed to be clicking?///on the installation of the new lamp or thereafter?

kayindel you might have a bad ballast. if you do not hear a clicking noise the your ballast is bad

kayindel the clicking noise would be after you install the lamp. if you don't hear that then it is the ballast or power supply.

Hi,

If you turn the tv off for about 1020 seconds, turn it back on and see if you have a clear picture, if not it sound like a power supply problem in the tv. but if that did not solve the problem, the picture board on your tv is now malfunctioning or as gone bad, it means the picture board of your tv has developed fault and will need to be replace.

I advice you replace the picture board on the screen of your tv to solve the problem.

Just replaced the lamp after 2 years. TV worked

Make sure that the lamp cage is seating well .. then make sure the door is closed properly. there is a door switch and if the door dont close right the switch may be telling the set the lamp is out.

My Samsung hcn4226w won't stay on.

There are many protective circuits inside the set that will shut it down if a problem is detected. It sounds like there are intermittant detections of problems and the "restart" temporarily clears the problem. If the unit is no longer under warranty, open up the back with the set unplugged and try reseating all of the boards and connectors. The trip may have jared a few things loose. Update this with the results.

Thanks,
Dan

The issue is with the color wheel but you have to replace the engine inorder to get one. The cost would exceed the value.

I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
