Need to know if a rear end bumper collision could cause not to start only with a jump

If it will start with a jump you need to check the battery and charging system . The fuel pump shutoff would keep it from running altogether .

What dose main pickup sensor do on a 1991 honda accord lx

if you feel savvy enough, check to see if it produces spark and also check if the fuel pump is working. If no spark usually a problem in the distributor. if no fuel coming out of the fuel line, maybe bad fuel pump. need to check if pump is not working.

Engine cut off after a accident

Many vehicles have a fuel shut off switch that cut the fuel pump of when the vehicle is in a collision, I believe the one on the Honda is located in the trunk (boot), it looks like a relay with a button on top, the button needs to be pushed down to reset, you should hear a click. If it is not in the trunk, look across the bulkhead or inner wing area, a Honda agent may give you a better location.

Fuel pump not getting power

Have you checked if there's an inertia switch. This switch cuts off power to fuel pump in case of a collision, although it could fail for no reason. it is usually losated near the front or rear bumper.

2002 x5 rear end collision car will not crank over

My recommendation is to look for the Fuel Pump trip switch and reset it.

During a collision a sensor is able to sense impact and trip so fuel is not pump any longer.

With the car in the on but not running position see if you can hear the fuel pump.

If you can then the car has other issues.

Hope this helps

Won't start

Some cars have an inertial shut-off switch for the electric fuel pump. That switch is sensitive to impact and is designed to shut off the fuel pump in case of collision.

Honda starts but dies after a few seconds

After a collision it may be hard to tell where the fault lies.
I would start by checking all connections in the engine bay as well as for any damage to the wiring.
Does your radiator still have fluid? If this has leaked out, then your engine could have seized.
