My computer will not stay

Could use more info. but, is it just going in to sleep mode ?..check your power settings under Display properties, Screen saver, Power.

Do you hear any Beep codes at startup ?. .does it shut off after maybe logging on to windows ?. . Check to see if the Fan runs, it may be over-heating and shuts down to prevent thermal damage to the CPU. if your fan is not running, DO not start it up till u replace the fan.
