Removing the pump access cover

Manual Instructions clearly state, unscrew the pump filter anti clockwise until it can be removed. Mine will only unscrew one half turn and no amount of effort will let it do anything else. Should I be using a pair of pliers?

Half turn is usualy all that is needed - now pull filter away - you may find a slight turn back will release will align filter with its release points. (Dont use pliers as you may damage)

My Aqualtis AQGMD149 has the fault that it is blocked. I cannot remove the cover to clean the pump out. The manual says unscrew it anti-clockwise but it only goes a quarter of a turn and won't budge. ...

Try pulling the filter after you have unscrewed it. Often there is a large rubber sealing ring on the perimeter of the filter drawer so it has to be pulled quite hard to remove it.

Hi I cant remove my filter cover located down on the bottom on front right. I have turned it anti clockwise and it wont come out to clean the filter. And suggestions please?

If you have unscrewed it all the way and it will not come out, then something is stuck in the filter preventing it from pulling out.
Screw it back in again, and then as you are unscrewing it, try moving it from side to side , it should eventually pull out, keep on doing this until it does come out.
If it does not, then you will probably have to remove the complete pump to clear the blockage.

Cleaning the pump

The filter is part of the screw cover, there is probably something stuck in the filter that is preventing it from pulling out.
Make sure you have unscrewed it as far as it will go anti-clockwise, and try pulling it at the same time to loosen it.

Aquarius wf541. Am trying to unscrew and remove pump filter at front to clean and check for blockages as leaking water all over the floor.. Kick plate removed ok. turned filter anti clockwise as oer...

There must be something stuck in the filter, as normally it should pull straight out once you have unscrewed it.
Try screwing and unscrewing it at the same time keep twisting and pulling at the filter.
If you can't tremove it, then you sre going to have to remove the complete pump in order to clear the obstruction
Hope this helps you ..

Zanussi washing machine will not empty

There should be a filter located at the bottom right front of washer behind a drop down down cover.
Unscrew the filter anti-clockwise to remove and clean.
If filter clear, then possibly the pump is faulty.
Hope this helps you with your problem.

Zanussi IZ 12 pump access

You should not need to remove anything to check and clean pump filter.
Open the filter door at the bottom right front of washer, there you will see the pump filter cover, unscrew the filter anti-clockwise, and remove the filter, and clean same.
With the filter out, you will see the filter housing, which is fastened directly on to the pump, have a good look inside the housing, and see if anything is stuck in there.
Refit filter, and test.
Please rate my fixya solution.
Thanks.

Washing machine error code f04

ok these machines are great and they make it very simple F04 means cant drain which usually means money or bits and bobs stuck in pump impeller. On the front of the machine remove the bottom right hand plastic cover by hand this is where the access to the filter and pump can be found, you will see a black cap about 3" which can be unscrewed you may need pliers or something to grip it and turn it, have plenty of old towels ready as the water in the machine will begin to come out when you unscrew it(anti clockwise), just unscrew it a little until the water trickles out and mop it up with the old towels until the water stops then continue to unscrew anti clockwise until you are sure the thread is no longer gripping you cant over unscrew so if in doubt just keep unscrewing....then it needs to be pulled out toward you, you will probably need grippers or pliers for this just wiggle it out and remove it, look inside you will see the drain pump impeller, put a finger in and feel for whatever is obstructing it and remove, now use a finger to feel for the inlet that comes into the chamber from the left, use a finger to feel inside this pipe and remove other bits and bobs in the pipeline that were ready to find there way to the pump, once you have removed whatever is in there clean with a rag the thread and scale and make it nice and clean. In your sink wash the screw cap and little white filter piece that is attached to the cap and careful so as not to cross thread it push and then screw it back in making sure the filter solid plastic part is facing toward the inlet pipe you cleaned earlier as its that solid part that prevents (should prevent but didn't or you wouldn't be doing this) large objects finding there way in to the impeller chamber, screw the cap in and restart the cycle and your done, easy repair anyone can do it..... Don't forget to send me your luv if this works for you!!... Nick (at) 2xx.co.uk
