Did you try plugging it in to a different power outlet? If there is no power light on your router still after trying a different power outlet, this means that the router has gone bad .

Wrt54gx2 won't stay powered up

Has the AC jack been damaged in the Linksys, due to pulling of the cord? Try wiggling the plug at the rear of the linksys to verify the connection. Check, reseat ALL cables. If it's connected to the ISP modem, can you use a Ethernet cable on the Linksys to the computer to verify signal? It may be bad, hard to say for sure.

Try changing the MTU value of your router and see if this will fix the problem.

For Cable ISP: MTU = 1500
For DSL ISP : MTU = 1472

Or contact your ISP to set the correct MT size

My SRX200 consistently disconnects from the internet.

Hi,

the wall plug type power supply (made in China) may be likely bad.
This actually is a switch mode power supply very unlike the old and usual linear power supplies.
It is common the capacitors used in this supply are under rated and do not last very long. Then funny and intermittent stuff can happen.

The problem usually seen with dim LED lights on the unit, limited range and intermittent operation.

Try to find a replacement power supply with perhaps higher current rating.

Good luck

Any update for l2pt protocol

Hi Milian,

Currently WRT54GX2 does not have support for L2TP connection. You may try to use WRT54GS. It has an option for L2TP connection.

Hope this helps

Frequent disconnects

If the Xbox is connected wirelessly through a computer

ie. Bridge?

Then the problem would be with Windows XP, the Operating system scans every 2min's or so for new networks and at this point you will notice a "lag" or disconnect if it is bad enough.

XP: your going to have to turn off the Wireless service via msconfig.

Vista: Download WLAN Optimizer, easy fix there...

My router keeps disconnecting the internet

a blinking power light suggest that the device is already broken. Go to the command prompt and ping the roouter. If you can still ping it then i suggest to upgrade the firmware of your router.
