My SanDisk clip mp3 won't turn on at all.it only charges when plugged up to a computer

Disconnect the player from the Computer then press and hold the Reset button on it for 30 seconds to reset all the settings to the factory default.

Then, connect the player to a computer to charge it completely. Once the player is charged sufficiently then try turning it ON.

If the MP3 player still doesn't turn ON then the LCD screen is required to be replaced.

My creative zen wont turn on just bl;ack screen

I've had this problem a few times when I haven't used my Zen for a couple of weeks. Even when the unit is powered off it still consumes battery (as the clock continues to work in the background) - so eventually the battery completely dies.

Hook it up to your PC with the USB cable and, if you can see the battery icon and it looks like it's charging, then just leave it for about 1-2 hours (it takes this long to come back to full life - enough to be recognized by your PC, anyway.

If possible, find another USB cable that will fit the connector, as the white USB that comes with the Zen is pretty rubbish and takes forever to charge - I use the mini USB cable that came with my Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 phone and it works a lot better.

Best of luck.

Wont Charge

Yeah, I had this problem too because I was connecting the USB proprietory connector/cable at the front USB drives on the computer. If you have been using front USB connecters, try using the back USB drive connecters.

It worked for me :)

Sansa e250 wont turn on, help

I found the solution to our problem!! and it is very easy. Take the 4 screws off the back. Remove the battery. Press the on/off switch and all the others on the front. Replace the battery and the screws.

Mine needed to be plugged in again, but the computer could read the Sansa and I can see the screen again. Now it is charging and I think that the problem is fixed.

Good luck!

NOw what?!

Hello again Cholo, Well, we?re going into uncharted territory for me since I haven?t had this happen, however, I have found some additional things to try. -Check and make sure the hold switch is off (orange is hidden). -If the battery is completely dead it may take as long as 30 minutes of charging for it to respond. -Let the power drain completely: Disconnect the iPod from all power sources (apple charger, firewire and USB) and let it sit for 24 hours. Please note that you will probably loose all music and anything else stored on the iPod. After 24 hours reconnect it to the power adaptor or your computer and try resetting again. If it still doesn?t work try letting it charge for 30 minutes. If you get it running again Apple recommends you download the latest version of the iPod software updater and update the iPod. If none of this works try the following: -Connect you iPod to another computers working USB port making sure it?s the only USB device plugged into the computer except you mouse and keyboard. Try letting it charge again. -If you?ve been using one source (USB or apple charger) to charge exclusively try the other. -If using a USB cable make sure its the cable that came with your iPod and that it is in good shape. -If you get this far you probably have no choice except to send it Apple for repairs. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
