Have a Mitsubishi 52725 52" DLP The TV shuts off frequently. It tells you "the TV with shut off in 30 seconds". It seems warm but I have a fan in the rear to cool it down but sometimes it still shuts down. What can I do?

Does it give you the "airflow" message?
if so it needs a new thermal sensor by the lamp, known issue defective sensor..

if not, suspect bad capacitors
there are many bad caps across 3 board , all part of the chassis.
a repair center will ship the chassis into mits for rebuild, about 400 or 500 total bill

Sounds like its overheating.
Are the fans working properly?

Did you buy a quality bulb (or one of the cheap junk bulbs around $20-$30?)

73" Mitsubishi DLP. turned on the tv and got only sound, no picture. after a minute it would shut down and red light would pop on the front. replaced bulb and hooked it back up. now it turns on but af

Try cleaning the little fans that keep the bulb cool, the temp sensor will shut it off so not to damage the bulb , the winning sound may be the fan going bad or not working like it should.

HL-S5687 DLp tv

your keeping a part that is warming up and shuts down your shutdown that protects the tv from burning up... cooler... to find this you might need a hair dryer or a can of freeze mist.
I believe the left side is your high-voltage section.
you can also let it warm-up without the fan .. let it shut down and feel parts with set unplugged to see what is running hot.
