Remote control fan hampton bay

Several years ago I bought 2 of the same fans from Home Depot. Both are in the basement. One is acting crazy.Sometimes we will go downstairs the light will be on; other times the fan will be running and we haven't turned in on. Could the remote control senser go bad and cause this? Something else? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

The remote control no longer operates the fan, so no way to control fan speed or dimmer.

The controller won't dim the lights anymore, but still controls the fan speed. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

That's a store brand fan for Home Depot. Hampton Bay fans are made by several different manufactures, so good luck.

Where to buy a universal remote for Hampton Bay ceiling fan w/reverse that's 6 Years old fan?

You can use a remote from Home Depot, where the fan was bought. Reverse will have to be done manually at fan.

We just bought a house with a beautifiul Hampton Bay ceiling fan, however the remote is missing. Consequently, we are unable to use the fan. Is there any way to determine if the fan is operational?

Try Home Depot. They sell Hampton Bay fans. They should have replacement remotes.
Here is one that Amazon sells. If you order oline, check to see if your model number is
what the remote will control. Also return policy of the seller if it doesnt work. May be easier
to go to Home Depot with a picture of the fan, or model number if you can locate it. Remember
that you will still have to figure out what settings to set the switches to that control the channel
the remote works on. It's do-able.

The screws which connect the blades to the motor are missing. The screws at home depot are a different thread and will nt work. How can I get the correct screws It is a hampton bay fan that could be 25...

i have the same problem, bought five different screws from five different hardware stores including home depot, lowes, ace and mom an pops. Nothing seems to fit and hampton bay's website is a joke. And my fan is only about 3-4 years old. Hate to throw a perfectly good fan away over somethin as petty as this but.... looks like we're gonna have to bite the bullet bro. 70 bucks down the drain over 2 dollars screws. Wont be dealing with hampton bay anymore.

Have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that doesn't work.

I'm pretty sure that home depot does sell remotes for that brand, although you may have to buy a new receiver to go with it. Otherwise try a lighting store near where you live. They seem to be able to order things like that.
